SST, as a kind of medium-high voltage direct-hung power electronic device, differs from traditional power frequency transformers' electromagnetic induction path. It uses power semiconductor devices to directly build a high-frequency "power direct pass bridge" between the medium-voltage side and the low-voltage DC side. This architecture eliminates bulky power frequency transformers, multi-stage rectifiers, and filtering devices, condensing complex power transformation processes into a compact form. Since the beginning of this year, the ongoing boom of artificial intelligence data centers (AIDC) has propelled the highly integrated power electronic solution SST to the forefront.
