Breaking his golden rule.. How did Mario Noffel lose Elon Musk in a moment?

Six months ago, The New York Times published an in-depth report revealing Mario Noffel's relationship with Elon Musk, where Mario was writing tweets that attracted Elon’s engagement, and he was so successful that he owns a marketing company and is sought after by clients who want Elon to see their tweets, achieving notable success in that.

The report confirmed that Mario Noffel is the most interactive account with Elon Musk ever, with a vast margin over any other account.

Although Noffel sometimes posts positive news and statements from Elon Musk, he was committed to a clear rule to protect the relationship, as he explicitly said in an interview with The New York Times: "One thing I’ve learned: I don’t comment on anything related to Elon," avoiding any negative or controversial news, to safeguard his relationship with him.

But in recent days, he broke this principle, sharing a news story from Reuters about Starlink, which Elon Musk considered inaccurate.

Musk responded publicly with a correction, then unfollowed Noffel’s account, and with this single step, Noffel lost years of effort and millions of dollars in revenue.

Lesson: Getting too close to the sun, no matter how tempting, can burn your wings.
