So I discovered these games that earn cryptocurrencies, and honestly, it changed my way of seeing this crypto universe. Like, I always heard about Play-to-Earn but never really took the time to understand how it worked, you know? Then I started researching and found it pretty interesting.
Basically, it works like this: you enter a game, complete missions, win battles, build things, and in return, earn tokens that you can later convert into Bitcoin, Ethereum, or other coins. Some are completely free to start, others require a small investment at the beginning. The tokens you earn (like SLP, TLM, GODS) can be traded on exchanges. And then, yes, you can turn them into real money.
What caught my attention the most is that there are quite a few options. I started with Axie Infinity — it’s like a battle game with creatures called Axies. You collect, train, and fight with them, earning Smooth Love Potion that can later be converted into other cryptos. At first, it seemed expensive to get in, but I found out there’s a scholarship program where you can borrow Axies. Pretty creative.
Then I tried Gods Unchained, which is a strategic card game. You earn the GODS coin by participating in matches. Honestly, this really requires skill — it’s not just luck. You have to think strategically. Splinterlands is pretty similar, also a card game, but you earn Dark Energy Crystals (DEC) and NFTs that you can sell.
The others I read about also seem cool. There’s The Sandbox, where you buy and build virtual land with the SAND coin — like a blockchain version of Minecraft. Decentraland is similar but it’s a metaverse; you explore, create, and sell virtual products using MANA. CryptoBlades is more action-oriented; you fight monsters and earn SKILL. Alien Worlds is space exploration where you mine TLM on virtual planets. And for football fans, there’s Sorare, which is fantasy with real athlete cards.
But honestly? It’s not easy to make a lot of money. Like, yes, you can earn cryptocurrencies while playing, but it requires consistency and dedicated time. Some of these crypto-earning games have a very volatile economy too. Some days you earn more, some days less. And the crypto market in general is fluctuating.
Prices right now are like this: Bitcoin around 75.93K with a 2.02% drop in the last 24 hours, Ethereum at 2.08K with -2.23%, Dogecoin at 0.10 with -0.64%. So yeah, the market is a bit turbulent.
The good side is that many of these crypto-earning games are really free to start. You can join, try out, learn how everything works without spending anything. If later you want to optimize your earnings, then you can invest in NFTs or upgrades. It’s pretty flexible.
But I’ll be honest: it’s not a get-rich-quick thing. It’s more of a different way to get involved with crypto while having fun. If you like games and want to learn about blockchain while playing, it’s really worth it. But if you’re looking for guaranteed gains, that’s not quite how it works.
What I recommend is trying out a few, see which one suits you. Axie Infinity is more popular, Alien Worlds is easier to start with, Gods Unchained and Splinterlands are good if you like strategy. You don’t need to play all of them — pick one or two and learn well.
And these crypto-earning games also teach you a lot about how the crypto market, NFTs, and blockchain work. You don’t just learn by playing; you learn practically. I think it’s a valuable experience.
But hey, play responsibly, okay? Don’t put in money you can’t lose, don’t get addicted thinking you’ll get rich. Study each game before investing real money, understand how it works. And remember, everything here is still very speculative.
Anyway, if you’re curious about earning cryptocurrencies in a different way, these games are a cool entry point. At least for me, they opened up a lot of perspectives on this crypto universe.
