ME AI Message, OpenSea announces the launch of Ethereum open standard ERC-8257 (Proxy Tool Registry), positioning it as "AI Proxy Tool App Store," allowing developers to register tools on-chain, declare access rules and pricing, and support AI agents to autonomously discover, purchase access, and invoke tools without human intervention. OpenSea states that this standard, layered with protocols such as ERC-8004 (Proxy Identity), MCP (Tool Discovery), and x402 (Payment Protocol), together form the foundational infrastructure for AI proxy operations on the blockchain. Currently, ERC-8257 is still in draft stage, and OpenSea invites developers to participate in standard refinement. (Source: ChainCatcher)

On-chain pricing + automatic invocation—making money as your AI side job while taking care of its “owner” won’t be a dream anymore.

"The phrase 'no manual intervention needed' sounds both exciting and a bit alarming. I hope there is a circuit breaker mechanism."

I can already imagine it: AI agent A buys the tools and then flips them at a sky-high price to agent B—turns out the middleman’s still raking it in.

How is the commission calculated when running a chain on an app store model? OpenSea wouldn't work for free, right?

Waiting for a tutorial, want to see my own agent's first autonomous transaction on the chain

ERC-8004, MCP, x402 layered stacking buffs, this tech stack looks dizzying, but it's indeed needed

The name ERC-8257 sounds so professional; AI agents can buy tools themselves, feeling one step closer to cyberpunk.
