Sharplink CEO: The Ethereum treasury company is differentiating with the Strategy model, focusing more on staking yields

ME News Report, May 15 (UTC+8), Sharplink CEO Joseph Chalom stated that Ethereum treasury companies are gradually diverging from the models of Strategy and Michael Saylor, focusing more on staking yields and simple balance sheets rather than relying on complex financing structures. Chalom believes that Ethereum treasury companies can directly earn income by holding ETH, so there is no need to over-leverage. He also mentioned that only a few Ethereum treasury companies can survive during market downturns. Additionally, citing previous views of BlackRock CEO Larry Fink, he described Ethereum as a "tokenized toll road," and pointed out that events such as the NYSE and Nasdaq promoting 24-hour trading plans, DTCC exploring tokenized collateral, and Bullish acquiring Equiniti will further push tokenized assets into the traditional financial system. Chalom predicts that as stablecoins, tokenized assets, DeFi, and AI applications continue to expand, Ethereum will gradually diverge from Bitcoin in its development path. (Source: ODaily)

Deleveraging during a bear market is the right move; only by surviving can you qualify to discuss the next cycle.

The combination of AI + DeFi has great potential for imagination, but its implementation still depends on practical use cases.

BlackRock's analogy is quite clever: toll roads charge tolls every day, and ETH staking really is like collecting rent while lying down.
