Compound updates rsETH event progress: the attacker’s position has been fully closed.
ME News report: On May 14 (UTC+8), the Compound Foundation announced that, after closely collaborating with the Aave and KelpDAO teams, it successfully closed the positions associated with the rsETH exploiters in WETH and wstETH Comet, and transferred all rsETH held by the attacker to DeFi United. Compound said this move effectively mitigates market risk and protects the safety of protocol suppliers and reserve funds. At present, the transfer restrictions on Ethereum WETH and wstETH Comet have been lifted, and all Comet markets have resumed normal operation. Compound emphasized that ensuring the overall security of the platform remains the top priority, and thanked the Aave and KelpDAO teams for their cooperation. (Source: MLion)
