Such waves of blacklisted address removals are usually related to the closure of old investigations, the reversal of court rulings, or the completion of checks on previously frozen addresses.

Previously, Tether unblocked 497 wallets with USDT worth $79.2 million – the largest wave in 2026. Yesterday, crypto enthusiasts on Twitter caused panic and advised urgently converting USDT into other assets, attributing the large-scale unlocks to a failure/anomaly.
