👀Daily Learning — Market Cap Share

Left Y-axis (USD): Shows Bitcoin Price (BTC Price), range 0 ~ $140,000

Right Y-axis (Percentage): Shows the market cap share of various tiers of cryptocurrencies (percentage of total crypto market cap), range approximately 13% ~ 31%

1. Bitcoin Price (orange-yellow line):
① Slowly rising from the end of 2023 to early 2024.
② A clear bull market appears from late 2024 to mid-2025, with the price rapidly climbing from over $60k to above $120k.
③ After peaking between August and November 2025, it pulls back, currently oscillating and rebounding in the $70,000–$80k range.

2. Market Cap Share of Altcoins (other coins):

① Green (Top 10): Remains relatively low long-term (around 15%-22%), with a noticeable rebound in the second half of 2025 as BTC rises, currently around 21%-22%.
② Cyan/Blue (Top 50 & Top 100): Higher share (24%-30%), indicating that mid- and long-tail coins have larger market sizes.
③ When BTC price surges significantly, Altcoin share often gets compressed first (funds concentrate into BTC), followed by rotation upward (funds spill over into Altcoins).

3. Recent Dynamics (End of 2025 ~ Early 2026)

① BTC price pulls back from its high, but the market cap share of Top 10 / Top 50 / Top 100 is all rebounding, especially the Top 10 (green line) showing a clear bounce.
② This suggests funds are beginning to spread from Bitcoin to altcoins, signaling the initial appearance of Altcoin Season.

🤔In summary, the market cap share reflects the fund rotation relationship between Bitcoin and altcoins:

① BTC main rally → Altcoins share is suppressed
② BTC enters consolidation/correction → Altcoins share rebounds, funds begin to “spill out”

Currently, the market is in a phase of Bitcoin oscillating at high levels with altcoin share warming up, gradually shifting from BTC dominance to a potential altcoin rotation period.
