Wu said that Wasabi Protocol released a security incident review stating that on April 30, an attacker exploited a vulnerability in their AWS infrastructure to gain control of the smart contract's private key, stealing $4.8 million in user funds from EVM contracts and $900k from project treasury funds. The affected scope includes some treasuries on Ethereum, Base, Blast, and Berachain; Solana deployment and Prop AMM were not affected. Wasabi stated that the vulnerability has been contained, and unaffected treasuries resumed withdrawals on May 2. They have also hired ZeroShadow to track the stolen funds. Regarding whether affected users can be compensated, Wasabi said they are exploring all feasible options.
