ME News, May 5 (UTC+8): Canadian digital technology and financial services provider Tetra Trust launched CADD, a stablecoin pegged 1:1 to the Canadian dollar, and has received approval from the Alberta Treasury Board and Finance. The project is supported by organizations such as Shopify and the National Bank of Canada. Tetra said that CADD is the first Canadian dollar stablecoin issued by a regulated financial institution in Canada, with reserve assets held in trust under Canada’s legal framework and used for redemptions. The token has been deployed on Base, Ethereum, and Tempo, and plans to support Solana in the future. (Source: MLion)
