Rakuten Group Japan adds an XRP payment feature to the Rakuten Pay app
ME News update. On April 15 (UTC+8), Japanese e-commerce group Rakuten announced that it has introduced XRP into its Rakuten Pay app, allowing approximately 44 million users to use it as a payment method. The service can be used at more than 5 million merchants in Japan. Users can trade XRP spot via the app, purchase XRP using Rakuten points, and hold the asset in Rakuten Wallet. Previously, Rakuten had supported payments with cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Bitcoin Cash. (Source: MLion)
