Japan's Rakuten Group adds XRP payment feature in Rakuten Pay app
ME News update: On April 15 (UTC+8), Japan’s e-commerce group Rakuten announced the introduction of XRP in its Rakuten Pay app, allowing approximately 44 million users to use it as a payment method. The service can be used at more than 5 million merchants in Japan. Users can trade XRP spot through the app, purchase XRP with Rakuten points, and hold the asset in Rakuten Wallet. Previously, Rakuten had supported payments with cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Bitcoin Cash. (Source: MLion)
