Japan's Rakuten Group adds XRP payment feature in Rakuten Pay app
ME News Update, April 15 (UTC+8), Japan’s e-commerce group Rakuten announced the integration of XRP into its Rakuten Pay app, allowing approximately 44 million users to use it as a payment method. The service is available at over 5 million merchants in Japan. Users can trade XRP spot, purchase XRP with Rakuten points, and hold the asset in Rakuten Wallet. Previously, Rakuten supported payments with cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Bitcoin Cash. (Source: MLion)
