I thought it was cool to share these tools I found for anyone interested in starting to mine free cryptocurrencies. I tested some and will share my experience.

I started with Awesome Miner, which runs smoothly on Windows and Linux. It’s very straightforward: download, install, and start. The Swedish company that developed it launched this in 2014 and since then it has become a reference for people who want to mine at any scale.

Then I tried BetterHash. I liked it a lot because it automatically selects which cryptocurrency is most profitable at the moment. You can mine BTC, ETC, and ETH without constantly changing settings.

For those who want to focus only on Bitcoin, StormGain is one of the best options for free cryptocurrency mining I found. The cool thing is that it consumes little energy and even runs on your phone. They have everything in Portuguese, which makes it much easier for us.

CryptoTab is also interesting if you want to mine while browsing. Download the browser, install it on any system (Windows, Mac, Android, iOS), and you're good to go. It has a referral system that multiplies earnings, like an affiliate program.

Kryptex is another one worth testing if you have a Windows PC. According to them, you can earn up to R$520 per month with a simple machine. The app automatically calculates the best cryptocurrency to mine based on your hardware.

ECOS is more focused on Bitcoin and offers several modes: ASIC mining, cloud mining, trading. It has a free trial period, but afterward it becomes paid. The prices are a bit high for non-professionals.

PEGAPool is cool because you mine ETH directly from your smartphone. Download it from the Play Store, click once, and you're mining. They promise up to 0.01 ETH per day.

MinerGate is also comprehensive: runs on various systems (Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, iOS) and you can choose manual or automatic mining. The software itself identifies which coin is most advantageous based on your device.

There’s also EarnCrypto, which isn’t exactly mining, but you earn free cryptocurrencies by doing simple tasks: watching ads, answering surveys, those kinds of things. It’s lighter and can earn you some satoshis of Bitcoin.

Important tip: beware of scams. There are many fake platforms promising free Bitcoin just to steal your data. Always check the legitimacy, platform history, and what security measures they use. Better to be cautious than regret later.
