Japan's Rakuten Group adds XRP payment feature in Rakuten Pay app
ME News update: On April 15 (UTC+8), Japan’s e-commerce group Rakuten announced the integration of XRP into its Rakuten Pay app, enabling approximately 44 million users to use it as a payment method. The service is available at more than 5 million merchants in Japan. Users can trade XRP spot via the app, purchase XRP with Rakuten points, and hold the asset in Rakuten Wallet. Previously, Rakuten had already supported crypto-asset payments such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Bitcoin Cash. (Source: MLion)
