So, I saw that according to an Arkham report, Vitalik Buterin's net worth has been estimated at least at $833 million. Basically, Ethereum's co-founder is still one of the most significant individual ETH holders, even though the price is now around $2,300.
The interesting thing is that most of his wealth comes from initial allocations during Ethereum's launch in 2015. In 2021, when ETH broke above $3,000, Vitalik Buterin's net worth briefly touched $1 billion. Now he holds about 245,000 ETH, which is a substantial amount but represents a small fraction of what he could own.
What strikes me is that Buterin has always maintained a relatively modest position compared to the total, not exceeding 0.9% of the supply. Over time, his holdings have decreased due to sales and network inflation, but he remains the main individual holder when compared to others.
Vitalik Buterin's net worth, of course, isn't solely tied to ETH. He has investments in StarkNet, tokens like WETH, DEGEN, and other projects. The report says that $833 million should be a conservative estimate, considering he might have undisclosed assets. Still, it's fascinating how his wealth has remained so closely linked to crypto investments after all these years.
