ME News announcement: On April 14 (UTC+8), the Ethereum Foundation posted on the X platform that it has launched the “Ethereum Audit Subsidy Program,” in collaboration with multiple audit and infrastructure organizations. The program provides security audit fee subsidies for developers to improve the overall security of the ecosystem. The initiative is led by EF’s “Trillion Dollar Security Initiative” and is carried out in partnership with Nethermind, Chainlink Labs, and Areta, among others, to assess and review applicant projects. The Ethereum Foundation said that while security audits are considered industry best practices, they are relatively expensive; this move is intended to lower the development barrier and support more innovative use cases and projects to be deployed within the Ethereum ecosystem.
