ME News Report, May 2 (UTC+8), cryptocurrency asset management firm Bitwise announced it will close and liquidate its two crypto ETFs: Bitwise Trendwise BTC/ETH and Treasuries Rotation Strategy ETF (BTOP) and Bitwise Web3 ETF (BWEB), with the specific reasons for closure not yet disclosed. Bitwise reminded investors that after May 21, 2026, those who have not actively sold their fund shares will have their holdings automatically redeemed in cash based on the net asset value (NAV) of each ETF, and the related funds are expected to be distributed around May 29, 2026, through brokers or other financial intermediaries.
