· An Ethereum whale, inactive for 10.8 years, transferred 10,000 ETH to a new wallet worth a total of $22.88 million. The whale had purchased this ETH during the ICO at just $3,100, and is now realizing a 7,381% return. It is currently unclear whether they will sell.
· An attacker exploited a vulnerability in Hyperbridge’s Ethereum gateway contract to mint one billion tied Polkadot tokens and release them into the market for about $237,000 worth of ETH. Although the main Polkadot network was unaffected, this event once again highlights the importance of bridge security.
Technical Outlook: Ethereum managed to stay above $2,300, gaining 2.17% in the last 24 hours. The Relative Strength Index (14) is at 52.9 — indicating neither overbought nor oversold conditions — suggesting sideways momentum. Short-term support is around $2,250, while a breakout above the key resistance at $2,500 could trigger a stronger bullish trend. The pivot point is around $2,325.
