500+ Dormant $ETH Wallets Drained, $800K Stolen


A live exploit just hit Ethereum mainnet. Hundreds of wallets, many untouched for 7 to 14 years, were emptied by a single attacker address.
What Happened

🔹 324.7 ETH bridged to Bitcoin via ThorChain
🔹 Some funds swapped into Monero (XMR) to hide the trail

🔹 Leaked private key databases (LastPass, Bitwarden breaches)
🔹 Old Electrum wallet vulnerabilities
🔹 npm supply chain attacks
🔹 Trading bots that require private key access

How To Stay Safe
🔹 Move funds from old or unused wallets
🔹 Never reuse keys from old password managers
🔹 Avoid bots that ask for private keys
🔹 Use a hardware wallet for long-term storage
