Specter: A large number of Ethereum wallets older than 5 years are being attacked, with losses exceeding $800k
ME News Report, May 1st (UTC+8), according to Specter monitoring, an attack targeting Ethereum wallets created 4 to 8 years ago is underway, with losses estimated to exceed $800k. This attack may involve private key leaks, most likely the private keys of wallet providers being compromised, but the source of the leak has not yet been determined. The attacker has stolen assets from hundreds of wallets, deposited 2 Ethereum into exchanges, and transferred 324.741 Ethereum cross-chain to Bitcoin. Currently, EVM wallets still hold assets worth approximately $66k. (Source: Foresight News)
