Techub News reports, according to Onchain Lens monitoring, Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin has begun clearing the Meme tokens received as gifts in his wallet today. On-chain data shows that Vitalik sold 40 million ASTEROID-2 tokens, successfully exchanging them for 114,566 USDC.
This is not the first large-scale cleanup of "airdrop gifts" by Vitalik this month. As early as April 1st, he conducted a "big cleanup," converting several unknown small-cap tokens into ETH. Vitalik has previously publicly stated multiple times that he hopes token developers will donate these marketing tokens directly to charitable organizations rather than sending them to his personal wallet.
