CryptoWorld News reports that, according to CoinDesk, the Solana Foundation has developed a plan to address future quantum computing risks and outlined a consensus solution among developers in a new blog post. The foundation pointed out that the core development teams Anza and Jump Crypto’s Firedancer have independently discovered a new type of digital signature called Falcon, designed to resist quantum computing, and have begun building early versions. Although Solana’s high-speed, low-latency design has raised questions about post-quantum cryptography, the foundation stated that any migration is manageable and will not significantly impact performance. At the time of the blog’s release, debates within the crypto industry about whether quantum computing will compromise blockchain security are intensifying. The foundation believes that the quantum computing risk remains distant, and the migration plan has been “thoroughly researched, understood, and is ready for deployment.”
