OpenAI officially releases GPT-5.5, with significantly improved intelligence and efficiency
Odaily Planet Daily News reports that according to official sources, OpenAI has officially released GPT-5.5. This model shows significant improvements in intelligent agent programming, computer usage, and scientific research fields, achieving an accuracy of 82.7% in the Terminal-Bench 2.0 test. GPT-5.5 maintains the same latency as GPT-5.4 while offering higher reasoning efficiency and consuming fewer tokens. Currently, GPT-5.5 has been rolled out to ChatGPT Plus, Pro, and enterprise users, and the API version will be launched soon, priced at $5 per 1 million input tokens and $30 per 1 million output tokens. Additionally, GPT-5.5 Pro for high-difficulty tasks has also been simultaneously released.
