Can we have another ETH proposal to freeze the stolen ETH?


Sounds simple, but it’s extremely difficult.
After the DAO hack situation (where ETH divided to ETH and ETH classic), the line became very clear.
You don’t intervene at the base layer every time something goes wrong, because the moment you do, you open the door to deciding what should and shouldn’t be reversed.
Today, there’s no mechanism to just “freeze” ETH.
Doing that would require a hard fork, and getting the entire network to agree on that… extremely unlikely.
