now I ran the same analysis on 5 minute bars and we can see that the forecast is pretty well correlated with next 5 min's realized vol
the thing that's interesting is the average realized vol is always inferior to the average forecast by decile bucket, which isnt the case in the daily forecasts
something to think about at another time perhaps
