A dramatic change is observed when examining Turkey's wage policy over the last six years. While the net minimum wage was at the level of 2,825 TL in 2021, this figure nearly doubled in 2022, reaching 5,500 TL. The following years showed an even faster increasing trend: it reached 11,402 TL in 2023 and 17,002 TL in 2024. By 2025, this figure is expected to rise to 22,104 TL, and projections suggest it will exceed 28,075 TL in 2026. These data clearly indicate the inflationary pressures in the Turkish economy and the rapidly increasing cost of living.
