And how much real money is there for each person in the world? My view on global distribution of wealth.

Abstract generation in progress

Recently came across an interesting calculation about how much money each inhabitant of the Earth would receive if all the cash were evenly distributed. To be honest, the numbers didn't impress me - only 15 thousand dollars per person. Is this really all the money we have? Enough only for some Dacia Sandero? Seriously?

I decided to figure out what is what and understand how much money we actually have. It turns out that only about $36.8 trillion is in free circulation - this includes cash, bank deposits, and other liquid assets. Not so much for our entire planet!

At the same time, wealth is distributed so unevenly that these averaged 15 thousand seem like a mockery. While a hypothetical farmer from Wisconsin barely makes ends meet, some billionaires are buying islands and launching rockets into space.

And this monetary mass M2 - all this money that can be "quickly obtained" - does not even include real assets and real estate. If we consider all the private wealth in the world, it amounts to almost 488 trillion dollars! That's the difference!

It's funny that in Spain everyone would get more - about 33,500 dollars. Apparently, Spaniards know how to handle money better than the rest of the world. Or maybe they just got lucky with their economy, who knows.

And so I think - what is the point of these calculations? After all, even if everyone is given 15 thousand, in a year there will again be poor and rich. Money is like water - it will always find its way to those who know how to attract it. And as long as the crypto market grows like crazy ( Bitcoin is already over 110 thousand! ), the vast majority of people will continue to dream at least of that very Dacia.

You know what? Maybe it's not about the amount of money, but about how we use it? Although who am I kidding - more is always better than less!
