History doesn’t repeat, but it rhymes.
In January 2025, DeepSeek burst onto the scene, and Nvidia plunged 17% in a single day. The market said compute costs had collapsed and GPUs were doomed. Yet from that low, the stock more than doubled.
That summer, Kimi K2 ran the same script all over again. Cheap models never killed hardware demand. Instead, they sent inference demand exploding, because more people started using them.
Today, roughly 75% of people worldwide have never used an LLM. As AI evolves from the 80/20 rule into a daily task-running companion for everyone, memory demand will still be the first thing pushed to its limits. This time, the script is crazier than you might think!

$BTC has rebounded, but I’m actually not too eager to chase it right now.
The reason is simple: a price rebound does not mean the market has regained strength.
If ETF fund outflows continue, it means institutional buying has at least not yet provided a clear enough signal of returning. At this point, as $BTC moves higher, I’d rather view it as a rebound that still needs to be validated, rather than confirmation of a new uptrend.
My view is clear:
Be cautious about the rebound in the short term, but don’t rush to turn bearish in the medium term.
Going forward, if $BTC can hold above key resistance with rising volume, while ETF flows turn positive again, this move will have a better chance of developing from a rebound into a trend reversal.
But if prices continue to surge while fund flows remain slow to follow, be careful: what looks like a strong market could merely be a brief spike caused by insufficient liquidity.
As for $ETH, I’ll be even more cautious. It not only needs to show strength on its own, but also needs ETF outflows to stop. If $BTC cannot hold either, it will be even more difficult for ETH to sustain an independent rally.
So my strategy right now is neither blindly buying the dip nor panic-selling, but controlling the urge to chase gains and waiting for price and fund flows to provide more consistent signals.
A true trend reversal should involve more than just price movement—it also requires real money to enter the market.

There’s not much to say about the market; it remains in a wide range.
U.S. CPI data will be released at 8:30 p.m. tonight.
If it exceeds expectations, the probability of a rate hike will rise, and global markets will fall;
if it comes in below expectations, the probability of a rate hike will decline, and global markets will rise.
Personally, I think this data will come in below expectations; otherwise, oil prices would be through the roof.

Samsung Electronics delivered its strongest earnings report ever.
Third-quarter operating profit hit 107.4 trillion won, surging 782.5% year-on-year and exceeding 100 trillion won for the first time.
Then its stock price plunged 7.39%.
On the same day, SK Hynix plunged 10.09%, forcing the Korea Exchange to activate the “sell-sidecar” circuit breaker.
The earnings report and the chart were telling two completely different stories.
Let’s start with a set of figures.
Since the beginning of the year, foreign investors have cumulatively net sold 199 trillion won worth of KOSPI stocks, equivalent to approximately $131 billion, the fastest pace of withdrawals among major Asian markets. Of that, 86 trillion won was net sold from Samsung Electronics and 87 trillion won from SK Hynix, with the two stocks accounting for 87% of total sales.
Samsung’s foreign ownership ratio fell from 52.4% at the beginning of the year to 46.38%, its lowest level since January 2008. SK Hynix fell below 50% and remained under that threshold for eight consecutive trading days.
The KOSPI has retreated nearly 34% from its all-time high in June, while trading volume plunged 70% from its May peak.
At the beginning of the year, everyone was shouting “AI memory supercycle.” Three months later, global capital told you in the most brutal way possible: We’re out.
Where did things go wrong?
Samsung’s profits surged because AI data centers were frantically snapping up HBM memory, while tight DRAM and NAND supplies pushed prices sharply higher. By all logic, an earnings breakout of this magnitude should have sent the stock price soaring.
But foreign investors are not selling “earnings” at all.
Richard Tang of Julius Baer put it most directly: Global capital is increasingly flowing into the US market, leaving South Korea under dual pressure from deteriorating relative performance and liquidity.
The US Dollar Index climbed above 102.5, hitting an 18-month high. Over the past 12 months, foreign investors have net bought $942 billion in US stocks and fund shares, the highest level since records began in 1985.
The money did not disappear; it simply moved elsewhere.
From Seoul to New York.
More painfully, the last pillar supporting Korean stocks is also collapsing.
Samsung and SK Hynix’s combined stock buyback program worth approximately 55 trillion won is nearing completion. JPMorgan data shows that most of the $23 billion in buy orders in the Korean stock market in September came from the buybacks of these two companies.
Companies buying their own stock—this is not value investing; it is propping up the market.
Foreign investors have left, buybacks have ended, and retail investors are also running. In the third quarter, South Korean retail investors net sold 5.59 trillion won worth of KOSPI stocks and turned around to buy $7.6 billion in US stocks.
Smart money, passive money, retail money—three directions, one exit: the dollar.
To be honest.
Samsung’s profitability is indeed at a historic peak. HBM shipments grew nearly 50% quarter-on-quarter, while the forecast for DRAM price increases was raised from 5%-10% to 10%-20%. It is hard to find any major flaw in the fundamentals.
But the stock price has fallen more than 30% from its June high to now.
This is a classic case of “macro liquidity pricing” crushing “micro fundamental pricing.”
When the dollar is siphoning global capital, US Treasury yields remain high, and the Federal Reserve is still discussing rate hikes—you cannot withstand the drain on liquidity, no matter how strong your income statement is.
Samsung’s stock chart and its income statement are telling two completely different stories.#韩林博士受邀牛津大学辩论社演讲 #GateWCTCS9全球交易赛 #Gate衍生品份额增幅全球第一 $SAMSUNG $SKHY $BTC

The Two Comeback Heroes Hit Their Fibonacci Retracement Levels—Tonight’s CPI Will Decide the Outcome!
1. The semiconductor ETF $SMH
SMH precisely retraced to the 0.62 Fibonacci level of the rally from mid-September to early October, while also firmly holding the 50-day moving average as a lifeline. It managed to claw back 2.3% from its intraday low! The key now is whether it can reclaim and hold above the 600 level. As long as it does not break today’s low, the bulls still have a chance to launch a counterattack on the CPI data. But if today’s low is lost, that would prove this was merely a weak rebound, and risk must be reduced quickly.
2. The memory ETF $DRAM
fell even more brutally than semiconductors, but today’s rebound was also exceptionally powerful! It perfectly retraced to the 0.62 Fibonacci support level from July onward, while also completely filling the historical gap between 51 and 53. The strongest-case scenario would be a direct gap-up at the open to launch the next major uptrend, leaving this candlestick completely isolated as a bottoming pattern. But if it rallies into the overhead resistance zone at 53.5-54 and gets knocked back down, be alert for a bull trap caused by a failed breakout.
This kind of session, with a sharp sell-off at the open followed by a flat close, is often a signal that major players are testing buying support under extreme conditions while quietly accumulating shares!

The Signs of Major Distribution Are Too Strong! Are These Three Major Sectors About to See a Regime Change?
1. Nvidia $NVDA
held above its 50-day moving average and staged a powerful rebound. Although the technical picture stabilized for a while, it may encounter resistance and pull back near the prior high on the left side. Don’t rush to imagine that a major bull market is taking off just yet.
2. AMD $AMD
opened lower for a shakeout in the morning, then held above the low of the 5-minute opening range and rebounded throughout the day. It has pulled back by more than ten percent from the high. Although it looks cheaper, it still needs to slowly build a base on the right side and cannot be treated as an absolute bottom.
3. S&P 500 $SPY
The S&P’s performance is extremely strong and flawless. The megacaps and Microsoft $MSFT are firmly controlling the market. As long as the index holds above the rising 20-day moving average, there is no need to panic excessively over high-level consolidation.
4. Exxon Mobil $XOM and Chevron $CVX
Even the enormous bullish catalysts of war in the Middle East and a blockade of the Strait of Hormuz failed to push oil prices to $120, but oil prices have held firmly at the 50-day moving average without breaking down. Energy giants and refining stocks remain extremely resilient and are arguably the best performers in the entire market.
5. Like many high-profile stocks, Palantir $PLTR
has rebounded to near the old resistance level at the prior high on the left side. It is beginning to show weakness in its upward move and stagnating momentum, so beware of the risk of a pullback after a surge.
6. CrowdStrike $CRWD, Palo Alto $PANW, and Okta $OKTA
hit new highs just yesterday, then immediately pulled back after opening higher today and even closed at the low. The signs of major fund distribution are very strong, and the price action is starting to look ugly.
7. Vistra Energy $VST and Bloom Energy $BE
The data center power-supply theme has made a comeback. Leading names are holding firmly above key support levels, showing signs that funds are regrouping into the trade.
8. Micron $MU
can occasionally stage a seemingly miraculous intraday rebound, but it has repeatedly suffered the disaster of surging for one day and giving it all back over the next two days. It has not truly escaped the danger zone yet.
9. SanDisk $SanDisk
briefly turned positive intraday after plunging along with its fellow sufferers. Its performance was indeed very resilient, but with the broader environment unstable, it can only be viewed as an oversold rebound.
10. Russell 2000 $IWM
is searching for support near the 200-day moving average. However, with regional banks (KRE) and the biotechnology sector (XBI) continuing to bleed and drag down performance, small caps will find it very difficult to rely solely on short covering.
11. Cipher $CIFR, Nebius $NBIS, and IREN $IREN
opened lower and rose throughout the day, but still failed to close in positive territory. The chart pattern has been badly damaged, but don’t blindly chase shorts at this level either. Wait for a rebound toward the 20-day or 50-day moving average before looking for short opportunities.
Nvidia is facing resistance, and no one is coming to rescue small caps!

Overall inflation at 3.6% is already priced in; core CPI is the crypto market’s make-or-break line
One data release at 20:30 tonight.
The market has already priced in the “bad news.”
Here’s the conclusion: The jump in headline inflation has already been absorbed by the market. The real battle is in core CPI.
Face-up card: Headline CPI jump—no suspense
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics will release September CPI tonight. Institutions widely expect headline CPI to jump from 3.4% year-on-year in August to 3.6%, with a 0.6% month-on-month increase—the biggest rise in nearly five months.
There’s only one reason: gasoline. The average U.S. gasoline price exceeded $4.30 per gallon in September, a record for the month, while the Iran conflict kept crude oil prices elevated.
That figure looks frightening, but the market has already priced it in. Over the past two weeks, the dollar strengthened, while BTC fell from its highs to around $81k before rebounding—both moves were preparations for this “face-up card.”
Hidden card: Institutions are deeply divided over core CPI
Core CPI—excluding food and energy—is what the Federal Reserve is really watching.
The problem is that major institutions’ forecasts for it differ wildly:
Deutsche Bank is the softest at 0.16%.
Citigroup and JPMorgan: 0.18%.
Goldman Sachs, Barclays, and Morgan Stanley are the most aggressive at 0.24%.
For the same data point, the gap between 0.16% and 0.24% is 50%. For the annual core inflation rate, that means the difference between 2.4% and 2.5%.
That 0.08-percentage-point gap holds the key to Bitcoin’s direction over the next month.
Two scenarios, two directions
Scenario one: Core CPI comes in at 0.16%–0.18% (the soft end)
This would support Williams’ view that price pressures are coming from “specific shocks” such as energy and AI, rather than from an overheated economy across the board. Williams said just Tuesday that there could be one more rate hike this year, but another hike in 2027 would not be necessary.
A soft reading would weaken December rate-hike pricing. Risk assets would get some breathing room. BTC could retest levels above $85k.
Scenario two: Core CPI comes in at 0.24% or higher (the hard end)
The hawks would win outright. Richmond Fed President Barkin said just Tuesday that “inflation is proving persistent,” while Boston Fed President Collins said she is watching “how broad the price pressures are.”
A hot reading would reinforce the view that “inflation is broadening,” sending the probability of a December rate hike higher. CME data shows that the probability of a 25-basis-point hike in December has already reached 69.5%. BTC could be pushed back below $80k.
One overlooked detail
Core CPI has consistently been below core PCE—the metric the Federal Reserve truly prefers—which was already close to 3% in August.
This means that even if core CPI comes in soft, the Federal Reserve may still believe underlying inflationary pressure is greater than CPI indicates. A dovish CPI report may not be enough to make the Federal Reserve truly turn dovish.
BTC ETFs saw $679 million in net outflows in the first week of October, including $485 million in outflows on Wednesday alone—the largest since June; ETH ETFs saw nearly $700 million in outflows over nine consecutive trading days. Funds have already voted with their feet, and if CPI exceeds expectations, the outflows will only accelerate.
Don’t be fooled by a headline “below expectations” reading.
At 20:30 tonight, don’t focus only on the 3.6% headline figure.

Robin Guard’s leaderboard is now live, with over 1 million points already recorded as of October 12.
Here’s what I found interesting.
Every staked Guard collects 50 points per hour, or 1,200 points daily. According to the project, each point converts into 1 token at launch.
The final snapshot is scheduled for October 16 at 09:00 (UTC+4), alongside the token launch. Claims are expected to open immediately, with no vesting.
Getting started is simple: connect your wallet, mine a Guard in your browser, mint it, and activate staking.
The earlier you stake, the more points you can accumulate before the snapshot.

ETC at $8.15—are you still waiting for it to turn around?
From 10.35 down to 7.78, the halving is here, the upgrade is still far away, and tomorrow's CPI hangs over it—is this ultimately the final shakeout, or the slow death of an old chain?
First, the surface picture: it fell, but the halving happened, and expectations for Olympia remain.
Down 9% over the past week, up 6% over the past month, rebounding from 7.2 in mid-September to 10.35 before giving it all back to 8.15. Market cap: $1.3 billion; a mid-tier altcoin, not a leading narrative. The candlesticks tell you this: price is stuck in the 8.00–8.36 decision zone, daily RSI is 42, 4-hour RSI is 38, MACD is below the zero line, price has fallen below the 7-day and 30-day moving averages, and selling volume is surging—all indicators are shouting one thing: short-term bearish; don't rush to buy the dip.
But take another look at the weekly chart.
The “Fifthening” halving was just completed at the end of September, cutting the block reward by another 20% to 1.6384 ETC. The cap is 210.7 million, with 155–159 million in circulation.
Supply is contracting, and the story is brewing. This is where the split is most pronounced.
First: the halving happened, but the market didn't even blink.
A new halving cycle began at the end of September, cutting the block reward by another 20%.
Sounds like a major bullish catalyst, right?
But look at the chart—the price fell all the way from 10.35 to 7.78, and the halving failed to lift the price.
Why?
Because the halving was an expectation, and it had already been priced in.
The market buys “the halving will happen in the future,” not “the halving has already happened.”
A bullish catalyst turning bearish after going live—this is the most classic script in crypto. Haven't you memorized it yet?
Second: the Olympia upgrade is the only decent catalyst this year.
Olympia is targeted for late 2026: EIP-1559-style dynamic fees, around 80% of base fees going to an on-chain treasury, and DAO-controlled spending.
Translated into plain English:
ETC wants to go from “an old PoW chain that doesn't change its code” to “a PoW Ethereum with sustainable development funding.”
Sounds exciting, right?
But before it goes live, it's only an expectation, not a driver of the current price.
Third: technicals are sitting on resistance, not support—and CPI is a knife hanging over the market tomorrow.
The current 8.15 is sitting right at the first resistance level.
Resistance is at 8.30–8.36; it must reclaim that level first to confirm that the decline has stopped.
Support: 8.00 (psychological level) → 7.78–7.94 (October 8 low) → 7.50 → 7.06.
The daily chart looks more like a pullback within a descending channel and has not yet formed a higher low.
Bollinger Bands are near the lower band, leaving room for a short-term rebound, but a rebound does not equal a reversal.
What about the macro picture?
BTC briefly fell below $82k, spot BTC ETFs saw $680 million in net outflows last week, ETH ETFs have posted outflows for multiple consecutive days, and South Korean stocks plunged on AI and chip concerns.
Tomorrow (October 14), U.S. CPI is the dividing line.
If it comes in hot, altcoins will take the first hit; if it comes in cool, a recovery window may open.
For a low-liquidity asset like ETC, when macro conditions tighten, it falls faster than BTC, and its rebounds are even less reliable.
Bulls versus bears—you decide
On one side:
The halving has gone live, shrinking supply
Expectations for the Olympia upgrade, a 2026 catalyst
The fake Core-Geth incident in September is over, and miners have switched back to the secure version
Perpetual funding is slightly negative, and open interest has declined along with the drop; longs are reducing positions rather than shorts aggressively opening
Bollinger Bands are near the lower band, leaving room for a short-term rebound
On the other side:
Daily bearish alignment, EMA pressure, and MACD below the zero line
The halving's bullish catalyst went live without triggering a rally, and the market isn't buying it
Olympia is too far away, with launch not coming until 2026
No ETF capital narrative; trading is driven mainly by futures and sentiment rotation
CPI tomorrow, with macro risk assets under pressure
A break below 8.00 could easily sweep another round of long positions
Trading strategy
Short-term long (rebound only):
Aggressive: if 8.00–8.05 holds and the 1-hour chart reclaims 8.20, use a small position; target 8.36/8.55, stop-loss at 7.92.
Conservative: wait for the daily close above 8.36, then enter if the retest holds; target 8.66 and 9.00, with the stop-loss below 8.10.
Oversold rebound: if it falls to 7.78–7.90 and forms a lower wick on declining volume, one trade can be taken; stop-loss at 7.65, with an initial target of 8.15–8.30. This is dip-buying, not a trend trade.
Short-term short:
If a push to 8.30–8.55 loses momentum and falls back below 8.15, or if it breaks below 8.00 directly on heavy volume, short it; target 7.80, extending to 7.50.
Place the stop-loss $0.15–$0.20 above the high of the entry candle; do not hold through 8.66.
Medium term:
Only two situations are worth holding for:
The Olympia testnet/mainnet timetable becomes clear and price reclaims 9.20;
Risk appetite returns after CPI and ETC recovers along with ETH.
Until then, it is simply a range-bound coin between 7.80 and 9.20.
Before breaking above 10.35, do not hold it stubbornly with a “value coin” mindset.
Invalidation conditions:
A daily close below 7.70 opens the lower end of the range; first watch 7.50/7.06, and all long-side logic is invalidated.
A daily close above 8.66 invalidates the bearish thesis; shift focus to 9.00.
ETC now resembles that fork from 2016—
Everyone was shouting “Code is Law,” yet ten years later, it is still telling the same story.
The halving has gone live, the upgrade is scheduled for 2026, there is no ETF, and the developers have left.
You think you're buying the dip in ETC, but you're actually renewing a subscription to 2016's faith.
Old chains don't die; they just slowly wither. But your margin won't last until the day it turns around.
The day 8.36 breaks through—
It will either be the beginning of a rebound or another fakeout. #GateWCTCS9全球交易赛 #GateX红牛F1新加坡站夺冠 #韩股大跌你会抄底吗 $BTC $ETH $ETC
