Mr. Mai’s idea aligns perfectly with the approach in the long article I posted today (); this article explains clearly why, when choosing holdings, you should choose both ends rather than the middle. Many people feel confused because they lack experience. Once you understand a few things, everything becomes clear:

1. Bitcoin’s major players are in the United States. That’s why altcoins put on all kinds of performances over the weekend, while Bitcoin remains quiet;

To do well in this market, you still need to have a reliable skill set of your own. What I personally rely on most is my own approach to reading charts, developed from a combination of basic technical analysis methods such as Elliott Wave Theory, moving averages, indicators, and candlestick patterns.

ETH at $2,410—did you miss the boat?

Look at the surface: from 1800 to 2400, in just one week.

Weekly gains exceeded 25-30%, while spot ETH ETFs saw $697 million in net inflows last week—the strongest week in nearly 10 months. BlackRock alone brought in $150 million+ in a single day. The candlesticks tell the story: a high-volume breakout on the daily chart, MACD above the zero line, and bullish moving-average alignment—the medium-term trend has already reversed.

First: ETF funds are pouring in aggressively, and you haven't noticed.

ETH spot ETFs saw approximately $697 million in net inflows last week—the strongest week in nearly 10 months. Positive inflows continued for multiple days, with BlackRock's ETHA seeing $150 million+ in a single day, rapidly lifting assets under management to $14 billion.

Over the past six months, ETH rose from 1600 to 2400, gaining 50%, and this move is not over yet. On the weekly chart, it has broken out of the previous downtrend channel, confirming a shift to a bullish structure.

Second: Supply is tightening, and exchange ETH reserves are almost being cleared out.

The staking ratio remains elevated—with approximately 34%+ of supply locked. Exchange balances have declined noticeably in recent months, with roughly 15% leaving exchanges. Supply is decreasing while demand is increasing, with ETFs continuing to buy.

The Glamsterdam upgrade testnet is progressing smoothly and is expected to significantly improve throughput. BlackRock continues bringing RWA/tokenized funds onto ETH, while Fidelity is advancing a staking ETF—the institutions are not merely buying coins; they are buying Ethereum's underlying capabilities.

Third: A signal has emerged on the technical side that must be taken seriously.

The daily RSI previously surged into the 75-80+ overbought zone and has now pulled back to around 60 for normal consolidation. This is a classic “breakout followed by a pullback for confirmation” structure: the price broke strongly out of the complex 1880-1920 consolidation range, surged on high volume to a high of 2546, and then pulled back to 2410 to confirm support.

The current structure is a classic bullish continuation pattern—the low of this week's pullback, around 2350-2360, remains well above the pre-breakout resistance zone at approximately 2100-2150. This itself shows that the bulls are digesting profit-taking rather than capitulating. As long as 2300-2320 holds, the bullish weekly structure remains intact.

The bull-bear battle—you decide

On one side:

ETF net inflows of $697 million in a single week—the strongest week in nearly 10 months

34% of supply locked in staking + exchange balances continuing to flow out

A 25% weekly gain, with the medium-term structure turning bullish

The Glamsterdam upgrade + institutions continuing to bring RWA on-chain

On the other side:

Short-term overbought conditions, with RSI pulling back from 75 and needing time to consolidate

Thin weekend trading, with a possible directional move on Monday

Macroeconomic uncertainty remains, including oil price disruptions and the FOMC stance

Some whales show signs of taking profits above 2450

Key levels

Upside resistance: 2450-2500 → 2546 (weekly high) → 2600-2700 → 2800-3000

Downside support: 2350-2400 (strong support) → 2300-2320 → 2200 (structural dividing line)

Trading strategy

Conservative long:

Build positions in batches within the 2350-2400 range, set a stop-loss below 2320, with a first target of 2500-2540 (reduce the position by 50% near the previous high), a second target of 2600+, and a further target of 2800-3000.

Aggressive short-term trading:

If ETH holds above 2450 on high volume, chase a long position and bet on a breakout above 2546. If it breaks below 2350 on high volume, lightly short toward 2300—but only for ultra-short-term trades, taking profits quickly; the medium-term outlook remains bullish.

Risk-control rules:

Risk per trade ≤2-3% of total capital

Weekend liquidity is poor; watch out for wicks

Monitor capital flows and ETF data at Monday's open

Pay attention to perpetual funding rates; do not overlook holding costs

ETH right now looks like BTC in November 2024—

Everyone knew the bull market was coming, but when the price fell to 1800, no one dared to buy. By the time it rose to 2400, 99% of people finally realized: that wasn't dead time at the bottom—it was the last chance to get on board.

2410 is not the top; it looks more like a healthy pullback level.

The market always rewards discipline, not impulsiveness.

But the market punishes one type of person even more—those who clearly know the trend has changed yet are still waiting for “a slightly deeper pullback before buying.”

ZEC at $810—are you chasing it?

Look at the surface first: everyone is shouting, “The spring of privacy coins is here.”

Up over 60% in the past 7 days, with a 24-hour range from $589 to $851, a 45% swing. Market cap surged to $14 billion, ranking 12th. The weekly chart broke out of a multiyear consolidation on heavy volume, while daily moving averages are in a bullish alignment. The trend has reversed—don’t get shaken out.

First: the June “infinite minting” bug sent ZEC from $630 to $250.

In early June, a serious vulnerability emerged in the Orchard privacy pool—theoretically allowing unlimited fake ZEC to be minted. The price flash-crashed from $630 to $250, a drop of over 60%. The entire market was shouting, “Privacy coins are going to zero,” Arthur Hayes cut losses and fled, and FUD was everywhere.

The team patched it urgently within 48 hours, and the Ironwood upgrade (NU6.3) was officially activated in late July. The new shielded pool went live, with over 2.3 million ZEC migrated to the Ironwood pool, while shielded supply stabilized at around 4.36 million.

Second: Grayscale has filed its fifth ETF amendment—the institutional channel is about to open.

On August 21, Grayscale submitted its fifth amended registration statement to the SEC:

Officially renamed “The Zcash ETF”

Ticker ZCSH, to be listed on NYSE Arca

Annual management fee of 2.5%, Coinbase as custodian, and Bank of New York Mellon as transfer agent

Jane Street and Virtu serving as authorized participants

Target listing date: around August 25.

A DCG subsidiary is reportedly discussing injecting approximately 200k ZEC into the trust. At $800 per coin, that would be worth about $160 million.

Third: but futures data is flashing red.

ZEC futures trading volume nearly reached $10 billion in a single day, while spot trading volume was only around $1.06 billion. Derivatives trading volume was 9 times that of spot. Open interest stood at $1.76 billion, equivalent to around 13% of market cap.

Leverage is already maxed out. Any unexpected development—SEC rejection, a sharp BTC crash, or geopolitical conflict—could trigger a long squeeze and a catastrophic pullback. ZEC has repeatedly suffered pullbacks of similar magnitude within days after gains of over 30%.

The bulls and bears are facing off—you decide

On one side:

Grayscale’s fifth amended filing accelerates ETF progress, with a target listing date of August 25

The Ironwood upgrade resolved supply verification issues, with the shielded pool stable

The weekly chart broke out of a multiyear consolidation on heavy volume, turning bullish

DCG plans to inject 200k ZEC—real institutional money

On the other side:

Futures volume is 9 times spot volume, and leverage is extremely crowded

The ETF still requires SEC approval, and Grayscale recently withdrew multiple altcoin ETF applications

$800 is a key resistance level dating back to January 2018

If the bullish catalyst falls through or is delayed, the risk of a long squeeze is extremely high

Key levels

Upside resistance: $855 (an 8-year high) → $900–$1,000 (Arthur Hayes’ target) → all-time high of $3,191

Downside support: $750–$775 (neckline zone) → $700 (key Fibonacci level) → $600

Trading strategy

For those already holding:

Set up a trailing take-profit. Volatility will be extremely intense around the ETF announcement—either it continues toward $1,000 or crashes back to $700.

For those on the sidelines looking to chase:

Wait for a pullback to $750–$780 before entering in batches, with a stop-loss below $700. If it breaks above $855 on heavy volume and holds, chase it then, targeting $900–$1,000.

ZEC went from $250 to $855 in just two months—

In June, you were panic-selling; in August, you were hesitating to chase the rally.

Is $800 a new starting point or a local top?

On the day the ETF news lands, will you slap your thigh in regret or pop champagne?

Not every breakout is worth chasing.

But every hesitation is the root of your losses.

BTC at $76,300—did you miss the boat?

Look at the surface first: a violent 20% surge, leaving retail traders kicking themselves.

Starting from 63-65k, it rose over 20% in a week, reaching around 80k and posting its strongest weekly gain in recent years. More than $2.7 billion in liquidations hit the entire market, with shorts bleeding heavily, while spot BTC ETFs saw $1.9 billion in weekly net inflows as institutions aggressively accumulated.

Then what happened? The weekend pullback to 76k has retail traders panicking: “Has it topped out?”

First: in a short squeeze, you didn’t miss the boat—you got scared off.

The liquidation of $2.7 billion in shorts means the most committed bears in the market were completely wiped out.

Bitcoin surged 30%+ from the 57-60k bottom range all the way to 80k. Those who shorted at 63k, added to their shorts at 67k, and stubbornly held on at 72k—all gone.

You were still waiting on the sidelines for a pullback, but when the pullback actually came, you became too afraid to enter.

Second: Treasury buybacks of government bonds are the real reason behind this surge.

The U.S. Treasury raised the scale of long-term Treasury buybacks from $2 billion to at least $4 billion, compressing long-end yields and weakening the dollar.

In plain English: the U.S. government is printing money to buy its own debt, the dollar is depreciating, and Bitcoin and gold are surging together.

The White House crypto meeting and the progress of the Clarity Act, along with Trump calling for support for crypto-friendly legislation—these policy signals combined are telling you that the U.S. is embracing crypto and institutions are rushing in.

Third: $1.9 billion in weekly ETF net inflows—a historic level of buying.

U.S. spot BTC ETFs saw approximately $1.9 billion in net inflows this week, their strongest week since October 2025. IBIT led the way, with cumulative net inflows surpassing $53.7 billion and AUM at approximately $96 billion. Institutional holdings have reached 44%.

Weekend liquidity is already thin, and if ETF inflows continue when markets open on Monday, the price will very likely take off directly.

Key levels

Overhead resistance: 78,000-79,500 (dense recent-high zone) → 80k (psychological threshold) → 84,000-86,000 (bull flag measured target)

Downside support: 75,000-76k (breakout retest zone) → 73,500-72k → 70,000 (top of the range)

Bulls vs. bears—you decide

On one side:

The Treasury is buying back government bonds, reviving the dollar depreciation narrative

$1.9 billion in weekly ETF inflows, with institutions aggressively accumulating

$2.7 billion in shorts liquidated, with the short squeeze not yet over

The White House crypto meeting and the progress of the Clarity Act, bringing greater regulatory clarity

On the other side:

A correction after the RSI became overbought, with poor weekend liquidity

Strong short-term pressure at 79-80k, with profit-taking needing to be absorbed

The probability of a September Fed rate hike is low but has not disappeared

Trading strategy

For those with no positions:

Wait for a pullback to the 75,000-76,000 range and buy in batches, with a stop-loss at 73,000 and targets of 79,500-80k; if it breaks through, look to 84,000-86,000.

For those with positions:

Hold. There is only one signal to reduce your position: a high-volume daily breakdown below 73,000.

For long-term believers:

Continue dollar-cost averaging; nothing has changed. The target for this cycle is 100k+, so don’t lose your chips over fluctuations of a few hundred bucks.

BTC now looks just like $20k at the end of 2020—

Everyone thought, “It’s gone up too much; it needs to pull back,” but it kept rising all the way to 69,000. Everyone thought, “This time is different,” but the script played out exactly the same.

On the day 80k breaks through, you’ll realize:

You didn’t miss Bitcoin—you missed an era.

A week ago, everyone was panic-selling and fleeing; a week later, institutions used $2.6 billion to tell you—the bottom is in?

The previous week, Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs recorded combined net outflows of $392 million.

From May to July, there were 8 full weeks of cumulative net outflows totaling $8.26 billion.

Retail investors were capitulating and cursing.

What about a week later?

$2.6 billion in net inflows.

The highest single-week record since October 2025. Bitcoin spot ETFs saw $1.9 billion in net inflows, while Ethereum spot ETFs saw $697.2 million—both product categories recorded their largest single-week net inflows since 2026 began.

One week of inflows recovered one-third of the outflows from the past 8 weeks.

Look at three figures and you’ll know how this money came in.

First, the amount. The previous week saw net outflows of $392 million; this week saw direct net inflows of $2.6 billion. The week-on-week reversal was close to $3 billion.

What does $3 billion mean? Many funds’ annual allocation quotas were deployed in a single week.

Second, trading volume. Bitcoin spot ETF weekly trading volume surged from $6.9 billion to $22.1 billion, up 219%. Combined trading volume for the two ETF categories reached $29 billion, more than tripling from the previous week.

There were $517 million in net inflows on Wednesday, followed by another $606 million on Thursday. Five consecutive days, without a single pause.

Institutions are scrambling to buy, and they’re doing it urgently.

Third, the structure. $1.9 billion in Bitcoin and nearly $700 million in Ethereum.

A two-front operation.

This isn’t simply a “Bitcoin safe-haven narrative.” Ethereum spot ETFs saw $697 million in a single week, the largest since October 2025. BlackRock’s IBIT and ETHA were the absolute main forces—the leading players are adding to both BTC and ETH simultaneously.

Institutions aren’t taking a single position; they’re building overall digital asset exposure.

In early August, the market underwent severe deleveraging. With high leverage wiped out, whose hands did the coins change into?

Retail investors were selling, while institutions were buying.

After $8.26 billion flowed out over the past 8 weeks, $2.6 billion flowed in over 1 week. The speed of the inflows far exceeding that of the outflows is itself a strong signal.

A lightning retreat, followed by a slow and determined reentry. By the time retail investors realized what was happening, the bottom had already been bought.

A single week’s data cannot confirm a trend reversal.

But the signal released by these figures is already clear enough—

The nearly ten-month wait-and-see period since the “1011 flash crash” is over.

Leverage has been cleared, coins have changed hands, and the money has come in.

What remains is only a matter of time.#ETH突破2400美元 #GateBTC现货交易全网第二 $BTC $ETH $SOL #BTCbreaksAbove$77000

Three days from $480 to $860: What exactly happened to ZEC?

Three days.

From $480 to $860.

Nearly an 80% gain.

If you didn’t get in on Tuesday, you’re probably kicking yourself now.

Zcash, the “old-school privacy coin” once forgotten by the market, went from “nobody cares” to “the star of the show” in three days.

24-hour futures trading volume approached $10 billion. Open interest stood at $1.76 billion, equivalent to 13% of ZEC’s market cap.

This isn’t an ordinary rebound.

Three catalysts exploded at once in the same week.

This is a systemic signal that the Zcash ecosystem is shifting from a “privacy toy” to an “institutional-grade asset.”

First: ETF expectations—the door to Wall Street is opening

On August 21, Grayscale submitted its fifth amendment filing to the SEC, proposing to convert the Zcash Trust into a spot ETF.

The trust will be renamed “The Zcash ETF,” with the ticker ZCSH, and listed on NYSE Arca. The annual sponsor fee is 2.5%.

Grayscale parent company DCG’s subsidiary is also considering injecting approximately 200k ZEC into the trust.

Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart’s exact words: “Getting closer.”

This represents substantial progress toward the first Zcash spot ETF in the United States.

The stories of the Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs have already shown us that once a compliant channel opens, institutional capital will pour in like a flood.

Zcash’s market cap is only $13.8 billion—a fraction of Bitcoin’s. Even if just 1% of institutional capital flows into it, that could be enough for ZEC to multiply several times over.

Second: Technical fix—the weak point of “unverifiable supply” has been addressed

One fatal issue that privacy coins have long been criticized for is: How can you prove that no one is secretly minting more coins?

Zcash activated the Ironwood (NU6.3) network upgrade on July 28. A new privacy pool went live, enabling the circulating supply of ZEC to be independently verified through the turnstile mechanism.

In plain English: privacy remains, but the ledger is transparent.

This doesn’t weaken privacy—it makes privacy compliant.

It solves regulators’ biggest concern: that the supply cannot be audited. The Ironwood upgrade sealed the old Orchard privacy pool, allowing Zcash to find a new balance between privacy protection and regulatory compliance.

Third: Hashrate backing—the world’s largest miner is voting with real money

On August 18, Cypherpunk Technologies announced the launch of 4.2 GSol/s of Equihash hashrate, accounting for approximately 18% of Zcash’s total network hashrate.

The world’s largest Zcash miner.

This isn’t some anonymous miner; it’s a Nasdaq-listed company (CYPH). It acquired the mining machines from Winklevoss Capital through a $33.33 million equity transaction.

Cypherpunk currently holds 323,394 ZEC, approximately 1.92% of the circulating supply. Its goal is to hold 5% of ZEC’s total supply.

A publicly listed company is telling the market with real money: Zcash is worth a major allocation.

ETF expectations are opening a compliant channel. The technical upgrade addresses regulatory pain points. Hashrate expansion provides fundamental backing.

Three catalysts across three dimensions were released simultaneously in the same week.

This is the dividing line between Zcash as a “geek toy” and an “institutional-grade asset.”

But ZEC is still approximately 75% below its 2018 all-time high of $3,190. It has risen 80% from $480 to $860, but it is still far from the ceiling.

Of course, the risks are also clear: uncertainty over ETF approval, profit-taking pressure after the sharp short-term rally, and controversy over hashrate concentration.

But the broader direction is already clear—

The privacy sector is moving from the “gray area” toward “regulatory compliance.”

Zcash is transforming from a “privacy coin nobody dares to touch” into a “compliant asset institutions are lining up to enter.”

This narrative shift is only just beginning.

Which catalyst do you think is the main driver of this rally?

A. ETF expectations—Wall Street’s money is the most powerful

B. Technical upgrades—compliance is the key to long-term growth

C. Hashrate expansion—miners understand value best#ETH突破2400美元 #GateBTC现货交易全网第二 $BTC $ETH $ZEC #BTC breaks through $77000

Three Scenarios:

A: Quickly leave the bottom and keep rallying until most people are afraid to get in. Continue rallying until they can’t resist and most people rush in, then plunge to a new low. Rally back and continue the bull market.

B: Rebound and quickly rally without looking back until everyone can’t resist getting in. Plunge to around 60, quickly recover, and continue the bull market.

C: Continue rallying, then consolidate. On September 15, a major negative catalyst triggers a plunge to a new low, and the bear market continues.

B: Rebound and rapidly push up without looking back, rising until everyone who can’t resist gets in, then plunge to around 60, quickly recover, and continue the bull market.
C: Continue pushing higher, consolidate, then on September 15, a major negative catalyst triggers a sharp plunge until a new low, followed by a continued bear market.
Regardless of which scenario plays out, the probability of the bull market beginning is higher than that of the bear market continuing. Therefore, in September and October, you need to have a spot position at any price, just in case.

XRP at $1.44—are you chasing it?

Look at the surface first: up 40-56% this week, the strongest major coin in the market.

BTC surged 20% this week back to $77,000, while XRP went straight from $1.0 to $1.44, returning to the top three by market cap. 24-hour trading volume topped $77k, and liquidations of both long and short perpetual contracts exceeded $100 million. The price has moved above all key EMAs, the daily MACD has formed a golden cross, and volume confirms a valid breakout. The trend has turned bullish, but don't chase the rally in the short term.

First: The SEC lawsuit has officially ended, and XRP has been “cleared of wrongdoing.”

The lawsuit was completely resolved in 2025. Ripple paid a $125 million fine, and secondary-market trading was explicitly determined not to be securities trading. What does this mean?

Seven spot XRP ETFs have launched, with cumulative net inflows exceeding $1.5 billion. Institutional access has fully opened up, allowing banks, hedge funds, and pension funds to allocate compliantly.

Second: Trump is personally backing it, and the regulatory dividend has only just begun.

This week, Trump met with Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse at the White House and publicly urged Congress to pass the CLARITY Act, which would clearly classify XRP and similar assets as “commodities.”

Around September 15, the Senate will hold a cloture vote. If passed, XRP will move completely from the “gray area” into the category of “compliant assets.”

Presidential backing + congressional legislation + ETF access—this is a repeat of Bitcoin's 2024 playbook. The same script is now playing out for XRP.

Third: Whales bought 300 million XRP in 96 hours.

Exchange inflows have declined, while whales accumulated approximately 300 million XRP within 96 hours—worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

ETFs have also continued to see net inflows, totaling tens of millions to hundreds of millions of dollars in recent days.

Retail investors see $1.44 and think, “It's gone up too much; I don't dare chase it.” Institutions see $1.44 and think, “It just broke through the cost zone—get in now.” That's the difference.

The bull-bear battle—judge for yourself

On one side:

The SEC lawsuit is over, and secondary-market trading is explicitly not securities trading

Seven ETFs have seen cumulative net inflows exceeding $1.5 billion, with institutions continuing to buy

Trump has publicly voiced his support, and the CLARITY Act vote is imminent

Whales bought 300 million XRP in 96 hours, easing selling pressure

The daily chart has broken above all EMAs, confirming a bullish trend reversal

On the other side:

Daily RSI is 80-86, severely overbought, with a high probability of a short-term pullback

It has already risen 40-56% this week, leaving substantial unrealized profits

1.50-1.55 is a heavy-volume resistance zone

If expectations for the CLARITY Act fail, a sharp retracement could follow

Resistance above: 1.50-1.55 (psychological level) → 1.65-1.70 (this week's high) → 2.00

Support below: 1.40-1.42 (short-term EMA support) → 1.30-1.35 (200-day EMA) → 1.20-1.25

Trading strategy

Short-term traders:

Take a small long position at the current price of 1.44, add on a pullback to 1.40-1.42, and set a stop-loss below 1.35. Take half the position off at the first target of 1.50-1.55, with the second target at 1.65-1.70. If it surges to 1.65 and shows bearish divergence plus a long upper wick, consider a small short position, targeting a pullback to 1.50 with a stop-loss at 1.72.

Swing traders:

Wait for a deeper pullback to 1.30-1.35 to stabilize before taking a heavier position, targeting 1.70-2.00 with a stop-loss at 1.25. More prudent.

Long-term believers:

Dollar-cost average in batches below 1.30. The bet is on the decade-long narrative of a compliant payments leader, with a target of 3-5.

Risk warnings:

Keep leverage on perpetual contracts below 5x; volatility is extreme at this level

Monitor funding rates, as crowded longs can easily trigger a cascade

Keep a close eye on the September CLARITY vote; once expectations become reality, it could become a case of “buy the rumor, sell the news”

If BTC falls below 70k, XRP will suffer as well

When the Bitcoin ETF was approved, 99% of people missed the move.

With Trump's backing + the CLARITY Act + continued ETF inflows, XRP is recreating the same script.

Is 1.44 the endpoint, the starting point, or the midpoint?
