Japanese stocks have genuinely become much more convenient for me this time.
I used to think that looking into Japanese stocks would involve a lot of hassle: exchanging currencies, opening an account, and using different accounts for different markets... Just thinking about it was enough to make me not want to bother.
Now @Gate has brought Japanese stocks directly onto the platform.
The first batch includes around 300 TSE-listed stocks, including Toyota, Sony, Nintendo, SoftBank, and Tokyo Electron.
What matters more to me than the number 300 is that the trading experience has been simplified.
There is no need to open a separate Japanese brokerage account, and you can participate directly with USDT without preparing a separate pool of Japanese yen.
And if you already trade crypto assets on Gate, you can now view U.S. stocks, Hong Kong stocks, and Japanese stocks together. Having to switch between fewer platforms is a very practical advantage for me.
I used to want to buy Japanese stocks but found the process too troublesome. Now they are convenient enough that I can just open the app and take a look whenever I have nothing to do before deciding whether to buy.
Of course, convenience is only the first step. You still need to research the company yourself before placing an order.
But if you have always been interested in Japanese stocks and have been put off by things like opening an account and exchanging currencies, I think this is worth checking out.
Which would you look at first: Nintendo or Toyota?

Actually, being able to smoothly adjust your mindset does require a subjective prerequisite: you bought $ETH at just over 1,500 and $BTC at just over 60,000 (like me), so even slightly higher would not really matter. But if you got in mid-range—for example, chasing Ethereum at 1,900 and Bitcoin at 70,000 or even higher—then there may indeed be some psychological hurdles, to some extent.

$GME The day before yesterday, I told the group members to keep an eye on it. It was an early-stage project in the same rb stock pool. $Ai has already skyrocketed. $GME will definitely be pumped as well. I bought the dip around 1m, and it reached a high of 4m over the past two days, more than a 3x. You can take out your principal and use the profits to speculate on the volatility ahead. $Ai was built on the long platform and rose to 30m after going through a shakeout, while $GME was built by bnkr and is an established platform on Base. The platforms are different, but the concept is the same: it is simply AI.

Has the semiconductor fever cooled?
Lately, when looking at the market, I feel that the semiconductors I've been watching for so long seem to be losing some of their heat
You can really feel it just by looking at Taiwan stocks along the semiconductor supply chain
Electronics blue chips aren't as strong as they were a while ago; instead, funds have started flowing into sectors like petrochemicals and shipping, and even some traditional industrial stocks have moved to the front
U.S. stocks feel much the same
Energy stocks have outperformed the broader market during this period, while healthcare stocks are also gradually drawing attention
I think this kind of rotation is actually worth watching
Because after an industry has risen a long way, market money always starts looking for opportunities elsewhere
You might have asked yourself before:
What exactly is so attractive about buying this company?
But after some time, you realize
It hasn't disappeared, nor has it stopped making money
It's just that everyone's attention was focused elsewhere before
So Moonlight has also been looking for new opportunities lately
What do you think will be the next industry to be seen by the market again?

Wasn’t I doing that 1,000u challenge before? I got from 1,000u to 10,000u in 3 days in the first round. Then I thought, since BSC has pretty decent liquidity, I’d take another 1,000u and give it a shot. I figured I’d PvP too and become a daily-settlement emperor. Fuck, I was losing 10u per trade and didn’t even feel it when I lost 30u. Then I pulled up my trading history, and I didn’t even know what the hell I was doing—just getting caught up in the hype, quickly scanning chains, buying, buying, buying, then selling, selling, selling, and losing, losing, losing.

To be honest, I have mixed feelings about this latest market move. Watching the price surge higher and higher, I felt a little relieved during the first rally last night—Bitcoin rose, spot buying followed, and the premium climbed in sync. It felt like someone was genuinely using hard cash to absorb the supply, so the structure still seemed relatively healthy. But today is different.

$BTC just closed its largest weekly candle since March 2023.
+$14,800 in a single week
+23.56% weekly gain
Even more important: BTC has pushed back above the 200-week MA, a level that has historically carried major weight.
The momentum is back. Now the question is whether Bitcoin can hold this breakout.

When it goes up, you always feel like you can wait a little longer and buy in after a pullback.
When it really pulls back, you start worrying that it might keep falling.
After going back and forth several times, you finally work up the courage to get on board.
Then the real correction comes 😂

A 20% rally in 3 days and the bulls are back; after moving sideways for 3 days, the bulls have left again. Why are the legs of your bulls so worthless? Right now, I think the most important thing is to shift our thinking from range-bound trading to trend-based thinking; then look at how the previous trending market moved, and verify it step by step from the higher time frames down to the lower time frames to see whether they are consistent. So how does a trending market digest overbought conditions and divergences? By moving sideways, of course!

Not meme season, but DeFi’s “season of value returning”—is AAVE breaking above $144 just the beginning?
SPK: +44.8% in one week, ENA up 96% weekly, and AAVE breaking above $144.
This is not the meme frenzy of March 2024; this is a completely different market.
If it has to be compared to something, it is more like DeFi Summer in 2020—capital is repricing the protocols in the Ethereum ecosystem that can actually generate revenue.
On August 24, the top gainers in the crypto secondary market were all DeFi tokens:
SPK: up more than 26% in one day and 44.8% over the past week
MORPHO: up 20.84% in one day, trading at $2.751
AAVE: up 16.76% in one day, trading at $144.07—the highest level since February
PENDLE: up 14.34% in one day, trading at $1.847
ENA: up 13.64% in one day, trading at $0.1685, up 96% over the past week—nearly doubling
ETHFI, LDO, and MET all rose more than 10%.
The entire DeFi sector is breaking out across the board.
But this is not indiscriminate buying—the capital is selective.
Compare it with meme season.
What mattered during meme season? Who had the most memes, the most outrageous name, and the strongest pump. Fundamentals? Not needed. Revenue? Not needed. The team? Even less so. Emotional intensity was everything.
But this round is different.
What is capital positioning around? Protocols with real revenue and assets with deep governance.
AAVE—total deposits have surpassed $30 billion, growing 30% in Q3, while TVL recovered from $11.86 billion in June to $17.69 billion. Cumulative borrowing volume surpassed $1 trillion, accounting for 62.8% of trading volume in the DeFi lending market. Annualized protocol revenue is approximately $402 million.
PENDLE—the leader in the yield trading sector, a protocol for interest-rate derivatives.
MORPHO—a new type of lending protocol, up 20% in one day.
These are not air coins. Each has protocol revenue, real users, and a business model.
The more critical signal is ENA.
Up 96% for the week, far exceeding the sector average.
Remember when the whale izebel.eth accumulated AAVE, MKR, and ENA in batches in March 2025? A year and a half later, the positions still have not been closed. Recently, Arthur Hayes heavily increased his holdings of ETH-related altcoins.
Large holders are continuing to accumulate core DeFi assets while ETH remains relatively low—not for short-term arbitrage, but as a medium-term bet.
They are betting on a recovery in liquidity across the Ethereum ecosystem.
The market transmission path is very clear:
ETH stabilizes → DeFi blue chips (AAVE) react first → emerging protocols (SPK, ENA) accelerate their catch-up.
This rhythm is very similar to the broad rally in May 2024. But what is the difference? The interest-rate environment then was completely different from now.
In May 2024, the market was still at the tail end of a rate-hike cycle. Now it is August 2026, and the macro liquidity environment has already changed. This means the sustainability of this rally could be stronger than the previous one.
Emerging lending protocols like SPK are rising faster than AAVE—the market is looking beyond traditional DeFi leaders for points where incremental returns can be unlocked.
Meme season was about emotional intensity; DeFi season is about protocol depth.
This wave is the market repricing “protocols that can make money.”
AAVE has broken above $144. A Grayscale report says its current price is below fair value, with a base-case price target of approximately $175 within 12 months. Aavenomics 3.0 has just gone live—all protocol and GHO revenue will be allocated 100% to the DAO treasury, automatically executing AAVE buybacks. Approximately 292 AAVE are bought back every day.
But let me be honest.
The short-term RSI is already above 71, indicating overbought conditions. A pullback could come at any time. #GateBTC现货交易全网第二 #ETH突破2400美元 $SPK $AAVE $ENA

Personally, I think this wave of mass FOMO triggered by the recent sharp rally is not bottoming out before a bull run at all; it is essentially more like a strong rebound.
Once the CLARITY Act’s bullish impact materializes next month, there’s a high probability the market will be knocked back to reality.
Moreover, buying BTC at $80k offers at most a 100% upside, making the risk-reward ratio too low.
If the push toward $82,500 fails, there could be another sharp drop afterward, with the target heading straight below $60k!
I’ll put it this way: if it breaks above $82,500 on heavy volume, I’ll admit I was wrong.
But for now, don’t rush to blindly chase longs.

Thursday at 22:00, one word from this person could send your position straight to zero
Bitcoin finally pushed up to around $78,000.
You just finished adding to your position and were getting ready to welcome $80k.
The entire market is waiting for one person to speak.
His name is Kevin Warsh.
This is his first time standing at the Jackson Hole podium as chair.
10 p.m. Beijing time this Thursday.
The pricing of tens of trillions in assets across Wall Street and the entire crypto market—all depends on what he says that night.
At the Fed meeting in July, 3 of the 12 voters called for a rate hike.
9 to 3. The first time since 2016 that there have been 3 dissenting votes.
Warsh explained nothing after the meeting. He gave no rate guidance, no indication of what would happen next year—nothing.
The 30-year US Treasury yield surged to 5.33%, its highest level since 2007.
When you say nothing, the market speaks for you through selling.
And now, he is about to speak before the entire world.
Warsh has already made clear that he has not decided whether this time he will discuss the broader macro picture or directly provide policy guidance for September through December.
This means the market’s sensitivity to every single word will go through the roof.
One word could mean a swing of thousands of points.
Three scenarios:
Scenario A: Hawkish surprise
Warsh clearly hints that a rate hike may come in September, or provides specific triggers for a rate hike.
The dollar surges, Treasury yields continue to spike, and Bitcoin comes under direct pressure.
$73,000? It may not hold.
Scenario B: Evasive ambiguity (highest probability)
He continues the old “data-dependent” playbook, offering no clear framework and making no commitments.
TD Securities has already warned that the market will be very disappointed if he still does not provide more information.
Disappointment = selling. Volatility continues, and implied volatility spikes.
Scenario C: Dovish pivot
He emphasizes downside risks to the economy and hints that the rate-hike cycle is over.
Bitcoin stages a violent rebound, surging straight to $80k or even higher.
But there is one more thing that is even more important than his speech—
At 20:30 on Wednesday, July PCE data will be released—the inflation indicator the Fed cares about most.
The revised Q2 GDP reading will be released at the same time on the same day.
If PCE comes in above expectations (the market currently expects core PCE to be around 3.2% year over year), the probability of a September rate hike will surge—the CME currently shows the probability at around 41%.
If the data is weak, even a hawkish Warsh will be limited. If the data is strong, nothing he says can save the market.#GateBTC现货交易全网第二 #ETH突破2400美元 $BTC $ETH $XAU

Abandon AI! Trump sells Meta and PLTR, adds to Buffett:
Reducing holdings
1. Meta $META
Sold $1 million-$5 million. As a large technology and social advertising giant, it has a large user base and strong advertising monetization capabilities, but its valuation is high, regulatory pressure is significant, and it is clearly affected by overall tech stock volatility. It is suitable for taking some profits first when the market is concerned about monetary policy.
2. Motorola $MSI
Sold $1 million-$5 million. A leader in public safety communications equipment, with stable operations and many government orders, but relatively limited growth potential. As a defensive technology stock, it is prioritized for reduction during portfolio rebalancing to free up funds for other areas.
3. Vanguard Dividend Appreciation Index ETF $VIG
Sold $5 million-$25 million. A blue-chip ETF focused on long-term dividend growth, with low risk and stable returns, but when more flexible rebalancing or greater upside potential is desired, these passive dividend products may be reduced substantially.
4. Palantir $PLTR
Sold multiple times. A high-profile big data analytics and government contracting stock with strong AI exposure and substantial order growth potential, but its share price is highly volatile, so some gains are taken off the table before and after geopolitical news.
5. Coinbase $COIN
Net sold approximately $116,000-$315,000. A leader among cryptocurrency trading platforms, directly benefiting from Bitcoin market performance, but highly affected by the cryptocurrency market’s sharp swings. Holdings are reduced first to control risk when cryptocurrency prices pull back.
6. Northrop Grumman $NOC
A major defense contractor with stable military orders and a deep moat, but it operates in a relatively cyclical industry, so holdings are reduced first during short-term trading.
7. Vanguard Short-Term Bond ETF $BSV, Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund $XLY, European stock market ETFs $VGK , etc.
These bond or regional/sector ETFs provide diversification and stable returns, but are reduced when the overall portfolio shifts toward individual stocks and specific themes.
Increasing holdings
8. Berkshire Hathaway $BRK.B
Bought $1 million-$5 million. Buffett’s conglomerate spans insurance, railroads, energy, consumer products, and other sectors. It has abundant cash and extremely strong long-term compounding capabilities, making it a classic ballast value stock suitable for increasing holdings after market volatility.
9. Cintas $CTAS
Bought $1 million-$5 million. The largest uniform rental and facilities services company in the United States, with high customer retention, stable cash flow, and minimal exposure to major economic cycle shocks. It is a high-certainty defensive growth stock.
10. Visa $V
Bought $1 million-$5 million. One of the global duopoly leaders in credit card payment networks, with an asset-light fee model and extremely high profit margins. It benefits from the long-term increase in electronic payment adoption and has a very deep moat.
11. Mastercard $MA
Bought $1 million-$5 million. A global payments giant similar to Visa, with powerful network effects and pricing power. It has strong cross-border payment growth potential and is a high-quality financial infrastructure asset.
12. Home Depot $HD
Bought $1 million-$5 million. The largest home improvement retailer in the United States, benefiting from strong demand for housing-related consumption, a well-developed store network, and high brand loyalty, as well as the long-term trend toward residential repairs and renovations.
13. Fidelity National Information Services $FIS
Bought $1 million-$5 million. A leader in fintech and payment processing that serves banks and merchants. Its business is stable and has substantial room for digital transformation, making it a core financial infrastructure asset.

Last week, Bitcoin posted five consecutive bullish candles, surging from $62k all the way to $79k, up more than 23% for the week. Spot gold climbed above $4,600, hitting a three-month high. And then? A flash crash on Saturday liquidated 179.2k traders, wiping out $882 million. Long positions accounted for 80%.
Why?
The aftershocks of the nonfarm payrolls report have yet to fade, and geopolitical conflicts have taken over.
U.S. nonfarm employment fell by 23k in July, while the May and June figures were revised down by a combined 103k. The labor market is cooling. But what about inflation? July CPI rose 3.4% year-over-year, while the energy index surged 14.7%.
Weak employment + high inflation = the Fed’s biggest headache.
The July FOMC meeting kept rates unchanged by a 9:3 vote, with three officials wanting to raise rates. The probability of a September rate hike fell from 70% to 40%, but the shadow of “higher rates for longer” remains.
The 30-year U.S. Treasury yield briefly climbed to its highest level since 2007.
Borrowing is getting more expensive, while inflation is still not coming down.
Then Trump announced “the most devastating economic action in history” against Iran, which Treasury Secretary Bessent called an “economic Normandy landing.”
U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessent announced the “toughest-ever” sanctions on Iran, directly targeting efforts to “bring down the Iranian regime.”
Iran’s response? “Any country participating in the sanctions will be considered to have declared war on Iran.” It also threatened that if the economic war continued, not a single drop of oil would pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
Shipping data showed that only five vessels passed through the Strait of Hormuz on August 15, compared with more than 130 vessels per day before the conflict.
Brent crude rose 6.4% last week, closing at $94.39 per barrel. It briefly touched $94.81 intraday. The diesel crack spread broke above $100 per barrel—the cost of transportation is rising, meaning inflation could climb even higher.
Bessent is set to officially announce the sanction details at 2 p.m. today (6 p.m. Beijing time).
Gold has already climbed above $4,600, a three-month high. The 10-year U.S. Treasury yield remains above 4.7%. What about Bitcoin? It fell below $76,000 yesterday. Over the weekend, it briefly plunged from $77k to around $75.8k.
So what should we do this week? Two scenario plans—compare them yourself.
Scenario A: Mild sanctions, oil prices retreat, BTC rebounds (approximately 40% probability)
If Bessent’s sanctions are merely “more of the same”—with no secondary sanctions and no direct targeting of China, Iran’s largest buyer accounting for more than 80% of its oil exports—oil prices will most likely spike and then retreat.
Brent will fall back from around $93. Inflation expectations will cool. Treasury yields will stabilize.
BTC could see a short-term rebound. After all, Bitcoin surged from $63k to $77k, and a short squeeze at one point wiped out billions of dollars in short positions. If the geopolitical premium fades, bulls may retake the $77,000-$79,000 range.
Strategy: Take a small position to trade the rebound and watch for support confirmation around $76,000. If it breaks above $77,000, cautiously try a long position, with a stop-loss at $74,500.
Scenario B: Sanctions escalate, shipping remains restricted, BTC undergoes a deep correction (approximately 60% probability)
If the sanctions involve secondary sanctions—punishing foreign entities that conduct transactions with Iran—or explicitly target China.
If shipping restrictions in the Strait of Hormuz continue or expand.
If oil prices break above their previous high, sending Brent above $100.
Then inflation expectations will surge again. Treasury yields will continue rising. Expectations of a Fed rate hike will return.
As a risk asset, Bitcoin could face a deep 5%-8% correction. If $76,000 fails to hold, the next support is at $72,500. Below that comes the psychological threshold of $70,000.
But this would be a highly attractive “panic-buying opportunity” for the medium to long term.
Why? Because Bitcoin is gaining a new form of “geopolitical utility.” Iran has already launched a Bitcoin-settled maritime insurance platform called “Hormuz Safe.” For Iran, which has long been excluded from the SWIFT system, Bitcoin is a financial lifeline.
A risk asset in the short term, a censorship-resistant asset in the long term.
The more intense the geopolitical conflict, the stronger this narrative becomes.
Short-term traders: Watch how much BTC falls each time oil prices surge sharply. If there is “falling with oil but not rising with it”—oil rises while BTC does not follow, and oil falls while BTC plunges—then short-term weakness is confirmed. Keep your hands off and do not buy the dip.
Medium- and long-term holders: Treat this geopolitical shock as a “stress test.” Gradually build positions when the market mistakenly sells off amid inflation panic. Around $72,500 is the first level, while below $70,000 is a golden opportunity.
The “tail risk” of geopolitical events is enormous. The content of Bessent’s press conference today could send oil prices soaring 5% instantly, or send them plunging 3%. You cannot predict it.
Controlling position size is more important than predicting direction.
Keep cash on hand and wait for panic. Buy during panic and sell during greed. Ninety-nine percent of people cannot follow this old saying, but those who do take 99% of the profits.
The Jackson Hole global central bank symposium is also scheduled for this week (August 27-29), where Fed Chair Walsh will deliver his first keynote speech since taking office. PCE inflation data will also be released.
Nonfarm payrolls, geopolitics, inflation, and central banks—four cards being played at once mean this week is bound to be anything but calm.#ETH突破2400美元 #GateBTC现货交易全网第二 $BTC $XAU $CL
