You place a sell order first, then submit a buy order. The prices clearly match, but one of the orders gets canceled. Why?
One possibility is that “self-trade protection,” or STP, was triggered.
This means that when the system detects a buy order about to match with a sell order within the same user scope, it blocks the trade according to its rules.
