Looking back, it’s always easy to buy at the right time. Why is live trading different?
When you look at a chart after the fact, the highs and lows are clear. It’s easy to think: Why not just buy here and sell there?
But when I review a trade, I first cover up the part of the chart that hasn’t happened yet, then ask myself: If I’d only seen this much, would I really have made the same decision?
For example, if the rules require waiting for a candlestick to close before confirming a signal, I can’t use its final closing information in hindsight and also assume I got filled early at an ideal pri

Let’s review the liquidation landscape for major coins amid the hacking incident:
$BT was undoubtedly the hardest hit in this wave of liquidations—just 60 minutes after the incident broke, liquidations across the market surged to $628 million. BTC alone accounted for $200 million, with total liquidations reaching $500 million over 24 hours. On the charts, RSI at 35.8 remains in bearish territory, while MA7/20/30 sit at 80,122/81,565/82,411, respectively. The bearish alignment of all three moving averages is acting as resistance. After making a new low at 76495, the price staged a feeble rebou

Bitcoin Falls to $77,000: Is This a Market Correction or the Start of a Deeper Decline?
Bitcoin's drop below $80,000 has changed the short-term market picture. After trading around $81,700–$82,000, BTC moved sharply lower toward the $76,600–$78,000 region. This decline has put traders under pressure and raised an important question: Is Bitcoin preparing for a recovery, or could sellers push the price even lower?
My view is that this is a critical moment for Bitcoin. I am not treating the recent decline as an automatic buying opportunity. I want to understand what is happening beneath the price

Stop-losses can only be tightened.
This page of *The Way of Trading* is emphatic: don’t adjust your stop-loss; “stop-losses can only get smaller” (p10).
The previous sentence gives the reason. Making trading decisions based on the amount of profit or loss is irrational; the sensible approach is to follow the market. If you’re reluctant to exit when losing and eager to run after making a little, you’re focused on the numbers on the screen.
The book recommends holding only the right positions; otherwise, close them out. Add to the right positions. Keep losses as small as possible and stop out as

How can the token balance change without a transfer?
When checking on-chain assets, if the balance has changed but I can't find a corresponding incoming transfer, I first look at the token's balance mechanism.
Some tokens reflect changes by recalculating balances. For example, stETH balances update with the protocol to reflect related staking rewards or penalties, without requiring a regular transfer to each holder.
This means that relying only on transfer records to track balance changes may miss some of them. Conversely, you shouldn't explain every balance change without a transfer as a norm

Intel's earnings clearly beat expectations, yet its stock plunged 23%! What exactly is Wall Street afraid of?
These days, a publicly traded company can make money without its stock rising, and getting top marks doesn't necessarily earn you a reward. Intel just gave the market a real-world lesson in investing: third-quarter revenue was $16.51 billion, up 21% year over year, and adjusted earnings per share were $0.52, beating market expectations. Yet its stock plunged as much as about 23% in after-hours trading!
Where did things go wrong? The answer lies in next quarter's report card.

Does pairing a spot position with a short mean you're hedged?
Holding spot in one coin and opening a short in another doesn't make me assume the risk has been offset.
Two assets often moving up and down together in the past doesn't mean they'll stay in sync through every market move ahead. Especially when news specific to one project breaks, the gap between them could suddenly widen.
Here's a hypothetical example: You hold $1,000 worth of a coin and short another coin with a notional value of $1,000. If the first falls 10% and the second falls only 3%, ignoring fees, the spot position loses $1

$SPOT is planning to introduce a new AI-powered service in the first quarter of 2027, allowing listeners to create personalised remixes and covers of existing songs, the Financial Times reported on Friday, citing people familiar with the plans.
The company is considering unveiling the service around the Grammy Awards in February. It may charge subscribers an additional $4 to $5 per month, although the launch timeline and pricing have not been finalised and could change, the report said.

The assets are still there, so why can’t they be transferred out for now?
When I look at an on-chain asset, I pay attention to an issue that often goes unnoticed: can its transfer function be paused?
Some token contracts are designed with a pause switch. In cases such as a vulnerability, holders of the relevant permissions can pause certain operations. In that situation, a balance still showing in an address doesn’t mean the assets can be transferred out right away.
So I check three things: which operations can be paused, who can trigger the pause, and what conditions are required to resume th
