Gold on the evening of 8/11:
On the 1-hour chart, gold prices surged to around 4435 before pulling back. The current price is trading below the middle Bollinger Band, while the upper band is creating strong short-term resistance. The Bollinger Bands are narrowing, and the market has shifted from a one-sided rise to range-bound trading.
Regarding MACD, DIFF is 8.12 and DEA is 13.63. DIFF has crossed below DEA, forming a death cross. The MACD histogram is negative, indicating short-term bearish momentum and pressure for a pullback.
