Explosive! 49:50! The CLARITY Act was killed by 11 votes—Is altcoin season about to cool off? Is the bull market in jeopardy?
Procedural strangulation is often more fatal than a written rejection. On September 16, the Senate voted 49:50 to reject the motion to end debate on the CLARITY Act, falling 11 votes short of the 60-vote threshold.
Note: This is not permanent death, nor a final rejection; it only means the Senate could not end the procedural debate over “whether to proceed to consideration,” freezing discussion of amendments.

The CLARITY Act has FAILED to get the 60 votes needed to advance in the U.S. Senate.
The procedural vote ended 50–49, falling short of the required threshold. The bill is now stalled, putting a major piece of U.S. crypto market-structure legislation on hold.
