Hyperliquid flips Dogecoin after 20% rally - Can HYPE stay ahead?
HYPE jumps over 20% to flip DOGE, putting its rally and utility-driven narrative to the test. What future investors see for crypto has become clearer during the last 24 hours.
Over the years, utility narratives have been gaining ground over speculative ones. While the latter ones provide "high-risk high-reward" opportunities, utility and fundamentals are better at delivering on a long-term basis, although with lower speed and requiring more conviction. And based on how the last 24 hours have played out, it's becoming clearer tha

The utility narrative is indeed making a comeback, but is HYPE really more valuable than DOGE? I don't think short-term gains prove much; we need to look at long-term development. Cautiously optimistic.

In the early hours of August 20 Beijing time, the Federal Reserve released the minutes of its July FOMC meeting.
The headline was: 9 votes in favor and 3 against, keeping the interest rate unchanged at 3.5%-3.75%.
Dallas Fed's Logan, Cleveland Fed's Hammack, and Minneapolis Fed's Kashkari voted against, advocating a 25-basis-point rate hike.
After the minutes were released, Bitcoin returned to $69k. Ethereum was even stronger, surging nearly 20% in one day.
Total liquidations across the crypto market exceeded $1.8 billion over 24 hours.
Why did the crypto market rally despite hawkish minutes?

I’m late today; the 4H chart is still consolidating at elevated levels after the rise, while the 1H chart is waiting for direction within the 4480–4500 range. Initial jobless claims and the Philly Fed data will be released together at 20:30. Strong data would make gold more likely to test 4480 first, while weak data would make a move back toward 4500/4518-4525 more likely.$XAUUSD

The range is so narrow that it’s better not to make any rash moves before the data comes out. Let’s wait until the direction is clear at 20:30; I’m inclined to look at 4480 first.
Bitcoin’s Upward Momentum Logic

⚠️For general educational purposes only; this does not constitute investment advice.

Bitcoin has no company or financial reports. The essence of its rise is: supply contraction + capital inflows from demand + a supportive macro environment + resonance of market consensus. Only when multiple conditions stack up can a major bull market emerge.

CRYPTO JUST HAD A BLOODBATH. 🩸
More than 188,000 traders were liquidated for over $3.35 billion in the last 24 hours.
$1.76B worth of $BTC and $ETH added another $1.16B worth of longs on top of that.
The price ripped higher so fast that billions in short positions were forced to close, and each of those forced buybacks pushed the price up even more.
Most people forget it doesn't matter whether your setup was right or wrong the exchange decides that for you and closes the position.
The short squeeze is getting absolutely insane

After the Fed's July minutes came out, the 9-3 vote fully exposed its internal divisions. Logan, Hammack, and Kashkari voted against the decision, pushing hard for another 25-basis-point hike
🤔Why are the divisions so deep?
Hawks are eager to put out the fire
Inflation is falling too slowly, and AI infrastructure funding is aggressively absorbing leverage. They worry that if inflation is not brought under control now, it could rebound at any time
Doves are reluctant to slam on the brakes
Employment and the economy are already showing signs of cooling, and blindly raising rates could

Bitcoin is back in control.
$BTC is trading at $71,888.8 after an 11.42% jump, backed by $1.58B in displayed volume.
The move is powerful, but holding near $72K matters more than briefly touching it. Let’s see whether buyers can protect the breakout.

8.20 Gold Evening Review: Gold Plunges Over 70 Points from Highs! The 4450 Level in Danger—Has the Bullish Feast Ended?
Gold came under pressure and retreated from the intraday high of 4527. It maintained a volatile downward trend during the day, before bears accelerated their push in the evening and broke through multiple support levels in succession. The price fell to a short-term low of 4450, with the current quote around 4463. The overall pullback continues to widen, as selling pressure at the highs is being released in force.
