Gate’s latest reserve snapshot looks simple on the surface, but the numbers become more interesting when you look beyond the headline.
The exchange reports more than $8.2B in reserves and an overall reserve ratio of 127%. In other words, the disclosed reserves are significantly higher than the corresponding user assets, creating a meaningful excess-backing cushion across major asset categories.
For me, the 127% figure is the number worth focusing on.
A reserve ratio above 100% means the reported reserve base is larger than the customer assets covered by the repo

Bitcoin did not break to a new high throughout the day, remaining in a wide range at elevated levels. We firmly maintained our short bias all day. After rising in the morning, it pulled back, then dipped around midday to the morning target near 76500 before rebounding to recover. In the evening, it rose to a high near 79970, but never broke the 80,000 mark. The bulls lacked momentum after advancing, and most of the day's positions were high-level shorts.
