#Will CATI market cap surpass DOGS after listing? #CATI即将上市,市值能否超越DOGS? United Kingdom High Court ruled that Tether (USDT) is property, the first ruling by United Kingdom law on the treatment and status of Cryptocurrency after a full trial. The day before, the United Kingdom government passed a bill aimed at making it clear that cryptocurrency is "personal property" under property law. The legal status of Tether (USDT) is a preliminary issue in a fraud case in which the plaintiff was a victim of a scam whose stolen Cryptocurrency, including Tether, was resold through various encryptionexchanges after passing through the encryption obfuscator. High Court Associate Justice Richard · Farnhill said in his September 12 ruling that USDT has property rights under English law. The judge added that USDT is a "rather unique form of property that is not premised on underlying legal rights" and can be "the subject of tracing and can constitute trust property like other property", noting that there is a "strong authority" that Cryptocurrency is property, which is also consistent with the law of England and Wales, judging by the judgment of the same court in 2019, which has not yet been tried.
