The TS5 is available as a Bitcoin-only version and has upgraded security features, a haptic colour touchscreen, and improved backup and is available in various finishes, said Tezos.
The new product was unveiled by Trezor CEO Matěj Žák who took centerstage at BTC Prague to unveil a range of products. The cost of the wallet is $169.
“For many people, their crypto journeys begin on centralised exchanges before they progress to taking responsibility themselves for storing their crypto on hardware wallets,” said Žák.
Trezor Expert Launched for Self-Custody
Trezor also launched Trezor Expert, a service for onboarding into self-custody.
According to Žák Trezor Expert aims to help customers set up their hardware wallets correctly, it allows them to explore the security considerations of self-custody in more detail as they cover topics such as private key management and safe online practices.
Best Crypto Wallets for June 2024
Navigating the world of crypto is can be overwhelming. The importance of secure digital currency storage becomes crucial. Trezor has been a popular wallet. Here is a list of the best crypto wallets in June 2024.
Trezor is listed at number 10 and is a massively popular wallet that’s known for its security features. Trezors are cold wallets that store your private keys offline, which significantly reduces the risk of online hacks.
The latest models (like the Trezor Model T) include advanced security features like secure element protection and support for multi-factor authentication (MFA) and multi-signature transactions. Trezor wallets support over 1,800 cryptos, including major ones like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin, as well as many ERC-20 tokens.
The Trezor Suite application (available on desktop and web browsers) offers a comprehensive platform for managing your cryptos. It includes features for buying, selling, and swapping cryptos and tools for portfolio tracking and market analysis.
The wallet also offers a secure recovery process using a 24-word seed phrase. This is essential for restoring access to your wallet in case of device loss. The Model T also offers a MicroSD card for additional security measures. Trezor can be integrated with third-party apps like MetaMask and Exodus for staking and NFT management.
