A Hangzhou crypto world influencer encountered a "leapfrog" incident, losing hundreds of BTC and a large amount of ETH.

Recently, a suspected "crypto world" influencer in Hangzhou fell victim to a "eyewash" scam, suffering heavy losses. According to authorities, the victim lost a total of 100 BTC and an unspecified amount of Ethereum virtual money. The exact amount is still being verified.

According to reports, the victim is a well-known investor in the crypto world, who often shares his experiences in virtual money investment on social media and has many followers. This scam started with a carefully designed "bungee jumping" fraud. The suspect contacted the victim through a false identity, pretending to have a strong interest in virtual currency investment and gradually gained the victim's trust.

After several offline meetings, the suspect induced the victim to input the private key of their cryptocurrency wallet into a pre-arranged trap under the pretext of cooperation and investment. Once obtaining these private keys, the suspect quickly transferred the victim's bitcoins and ethers from their wallet to their own account. The victim later discovered that 100 bitcoins and several ethers in their account had disappeared and immediately reported the incident to the police.
