Lens V2 is different from V1

Designed to empower creators with their own social relationships, Lens marks a shift from a centralized and siloed social network to a social network where users can own their own content and relationships, while V2 is designed to better leverage a user-owned, portable, and immutable social graph.

Upgrades for Profiles

With the integration of the ERC-6551 standard, Profile can now act as a wallet, allowing for the direct accumulation of value from operations such as minting and collecting. This feature enables profiles to build their own social connections and provides monetization opportunities. The new Profile Manager also enhances security, allowing blocking and delegating social behavior to different wallets, including hardware wallets, for added security.

Open Actions 功能

Open Actions in Lens V2 provides a composable framework for social networks, allowing developers to integrate external smart contract operations directly in Lens. These integrations may include operations such as minting NFTs or interacting with third-party marketplaces and protocols, all within the scope of the post. Open Actions is designed to be scalable and even operate across chains, providing developers with flexible and powerful tools to create innovative social experiences.

Collective value sharing

Lens V2 also expands on the idea of collective value sharing, where all participants in the social graph can benefit from the value generated within the ecosystem. This system includes users, algorithms, curators, and apps, all of whom share the revenue generated by their contributions to the network. The model encourages collaboration, where each action adds collective value and rewards are distributed to contributors to the platform.
