Kazakhstan has adopted new rules governing strategic mining. Participating companies may benefit from electricity quotas at a capped rate, but will have to return part of the cryptocurrencies they mine to Astana Hub.
These assets will then be managed by a public investment company placed under the authority of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, to feed the country’s future strategic crypto reserve.
