Fudan University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University have been listed by the U.S. Department of Defense as research-restriction targets.

Going forward, if any U.S. university has a research project that receives funding from the Pentagon, it will no longer be allowed to cooperate with these two schools and will also be prohibited from using these two universities’ equipment.
In the past, the list mainly included PLA military academies and universities with defense-industry backgrounds, and Fudan and Shanghai Jiao Tong have both appeared for the first time.
