TRON releases GreatVoyage-v4.8.2 (Pyrrho), enhancing TVM compatibility and node operations capabilities
PANews, July 22—TRON has officially released GreatVoyage-v4.8.2 (Pyrrho). The new version further improves compatibility with the Ethereum Pectra and Osaka upgrades, adds features such as the CLZ instruction and secp256r1 signature verification precompile, and migrates fastjson to Jackson, while unifying node monitoring metrics from InfluxDB to Prometheus. This upgrade further strengthens TRON’s capabilities in smart contract compatibility, interface handling, node monitoring, and operational management.
Official notice: this version is a mandatory upgrade. Node operators must complete the update by August 16, 2026, 23:59 (Singapore time) to avoid impacting block synchronization. The Event Plugin has also been upgraded to v3.0.0. Nodes using the official plugin must upgrade the plugin first, then update the node version; nodes using custom-built plugins should also complete the adaptation as soon as possible.
