MoonPay acquires Glide, a crypto startup backed by Y Combinator

PANews July 16 news, citing a report by The Block, that MoonPay has completed its acquisition of Glide, a crypto deposit startup. This is the company’s sixth acquisition announced in 2026. The deal was an all-stock transaction, and Glide’s four-person team will join MoonPay.

Glide was founded in 2023 by Soni and Qinyu Tong. They previously worked together on Robinhood’s crypto wallet development team. MoonPay said that Glide has the support of Y Combinator, Titan Fund, and other investors. The technology developed by Glide allows applications to accept crypto deposits without users manually bridging across blockchains or swapping assets, helping reduce friction during user onboarding.
