Ugh, I’ve really been struggling with this lately. I tried to transfer money on Layer2 to save a bit on gas fees, but then I ended up doing multiple batches and it cost me an extra half hour. When I looked back, the mainnet still hadn’t gotten much cheaper. I did the same dumb thing last month—I tried to save 0.5 ETH in fees, and the chain got clogged. Canceling the transaction meant I had to pay gas again. My roommate saw me cursing under my breath and drifted by with, “Is the money you’re saving enough to buy two cups of milk tea?” I had no answer.

Now Meme rotation is fast, and old players keep saying don’t take the last round. I’ve learned my lesson: small amounts of Layer2 are fine to play with, but for big money, I’ll keep it on the mainnet like I should—safety first. Anyway, I’m not going to talk anymore. Time to check my approvals.
