Just took a look at the mempool—it’s jammed again. Gas fees are bouncing around, and transactions are queuing up like the morning rush-hour subway. If you set a base price, you might not get out for half an hour; set it higher and your wallet hurts. I ran into congestion once before: I posted a swap and it got stuck for hours. I only managed to squeeze it through after manually accelerating it, and along the way it almost got sandwiched. Anyway, when the chain is busy, I’d rather wait for a few more confirmations than try to save a little on fees and end up getting stuck. Recently, as macro sentiment improved, everyone started moving positions again—rate-cut expectations are pushing risk assets up—but on-chain congestion is rising too. I really don’t know whether this is good or bad. For now, that’s it—let’s see after the next round of blocks.
