To be honest, every day I see those Layer2s out there flaunting TPS versus GAS, arguing over who’s the “true Ethereum.” I just want to say one thing—what you see is opportunity; in someone else’s eyes, it’s all fees. A couple of days ago I tested a new router. I set the slippage a bit too conservatively, and I watched, helplessly, as a middleman ate three “sandwich” trades in the middle. I was so angry I wanted to uninstall my wallet. But then I thought—doesn’t this just mean the market is teaching me a lesson? Anyway, for someone like me who’s quick-handed but also a bit uneasy, I now run simulations first. Otherwise I’d really end up becoming fuel for someone else’s arbitrage. Forget it, that’s it for now. I’ll keep researching slippage protection.
