I just muted a few DAO groups. In the past few days, discussions about hacks of cross-chain bridges blew up again; everyone in the groups is talking arbitrage strategies and vote APR, but not many people are actually reviewing the governance structure in the proposals—basically, who proposes, who has veto power, and how the treasury multisig is rotated—these are the key factors that determine whether the money will ultimately get siphoned off. The last time the oracle had an abnormality, I also waited to confirm that the numbers were sufficient before I dared to act; and then someone said I was scared. Fine—anyway, anyone who’s dealt with on-chain finality knows it can get stuck. After muting them, I can quietly read the original proposal text. Take it slow.
