ME News message: On April 26 (UTC+8), local time April 26, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said that its special forces had successfully destroyed three US GBU-57 large earth-penetrating bunker-buster bombs and dismantled another one left behind in Iran’s Zanjan province. The GBU-57 earth-penetrating bunker-buster bomb (also known as a “bunker bomb”) is a heavy earth-penetrating bomb developed by the United States. The United States used this model of bomb last year in a military operation against Iran’s nuclear facilities, and it has also been used extensively in this year’s US-Iran conflict. (Source: ODAILY)
